"Then tell me, are you engaged, Andrew?" I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
His eyes widened in surprise before he took a deep breath and nodded his head, confirming my worst fear that he was engaged.
"Then why do you want me in your life if you're already committed to someone else?" I asked, feeling a mixture of hurt and anger bubbling inside me. His expression softened as he put my head on his chest and wrapped his arms around me. "Because I can't imagine my life without you in it, I love you more than anything," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.
My heart ached at his words, but I shook Levi's words, still creeping into my mind.
