2 The disaster ship was waiting for them on the other side of Reader IV. It was the biggest spaceship Michiko had ever seen, easily the size of ten football fields. It housed two hotels with hundreds of rooms each, five cafeterias, and air bays along the edges for people who needed to safely store their ships inside. It looked like a giant gray barrel with gravity rings spinning around it. Supported by taxpayer dollars—every planet paid a certain amount each year to keep the ship going—it was the largest ship in the galaxy and a sight for Michiko to behold for the first time.
