Chapter 32

1465 Words

Amí-Lea felt as if she was waking from a deep drunken sleep, swimming out of the depths. Something was calling to her, reminding her of a reason to wake up, but her body wanted to go back to sleep. The gurgled soft cry of a baby finally pushed through the fog and memory of the previous night returned. A baby, HER baby! Now she was fighting with all her might to wake. When her eyes finally obeyed the orders of her brain, they fluttered slowly open. It took almost as long to get them to focus on the man next to the chair and a feeling of dejavu was kind of overpowering. Only this time the person sitting there looked different from the first and he held a small, tiny person in his arms. A tiny person that was greedily sucking on a bottle, one she strangely noted held a steel tipped n****e.
