After everyone had left, Eugene sat back down at his desk and let out an exhausted sigh. He thought about all the things that Lauressa had said before his mind moved on to what Nik and Gale had mentioned. He wondered how anyone would betray their pack for another. What gain would they receive from doing such a thing? He pondered these questions for some time, thinking of each member, who they were, what their role was and whether they had shown any disregard for the Alpha family. He could think of no one. This worried him more. The fact that someone could pretend to be someone so different from who they were.
