To say I am impressed is an understatement. There are candles hanging from the ceiling, white roses everywhere, and reflective mirrors along the columns, it is so fancy and elegant. I look at Orion and he seems impressed too. But everyone around us is very quiet and watching us, suddenly I feel very self conscious. I shouldn't have come with Orion, Luna comes immediately to us, “Alpha Orion we are pleased to welcome you to your first Moon Party we hope you have a good time. Now if you'll excuse me I need to borrow Alesa” OMG the serious look she gives me means I am in trouble.

“Thank you for allowing us to come to Luna, we want to start healing from the past and gain your trust again. And although I quite enjoy Miss Alesa´s company I shall let you borrow her but not for too long she did promise me a dance” He says smiling at me at the last part and I blush a little. I courtesy and walk with Luna. She smiles at guests and leads me to one of the balcony windows outside.

“Now what in the world are you thinking Alesa? Arriving with Orion to the party IS a big deal, and the way you look at each other... it makes it look like you two are together and allegiance is forming, it could upset other packs, you know they are banned. And when Alpha and Jack find out they won't be happy” She looks at me seriously and I fiddle with my dress. I never enjoy when Luna scolds me, ever since I lost my parents to the war she has treated me as her own daughter even more when Jack started being overprotective of me. “I'm sorry Luna” I whisper. She sighs “We need to head back and welcome everyone, you are going to stand at the podium with us and when the introductions are over, make yourself scarce, mingle around with everyone and avoid Alpha Orion, I don't want you dancing and associating yourself with him anymore.” She looks at me mad. “And Alesa, that's an order”.

We head back and go straight to the podium, Alpha and Luna start the inauguration and give a speech together. I feel so bad and awkward after my talk with Luna. She commanded me, she used her Luna voice on me. I feel so angry and powerless. What right gives her to prohibit me to dance with Orion, does she not trust me? Jack looks at me questionly but I don't feel like talking about it and least of all to him, so after the ball has been inaugurated, I run out of there. I fast walk outside and don't stop till I'm at the waterfall that's near the event for some time alone. These shoes are killing me so I just throw them to the wood. Ugh being an almost beta sucks I do not agree with their decisions but if they command me I have to follow. I walk to the waterfall until the water is at my knees. I just have to cool off. I don´t know why following orders was such a big deal, but part of me refused to sumit. I was so entranced with my thoughts that when I heard a snapping branch I turned to see, Orion was standing there next to a tree looking sexy as hell and staring directly at me. I know he's forbidden but fighting this attraction I feel towards him is exhausting.

He walks toward me, grabs a lock of my hair and plays with it in his fingers then takes it to his mouth and gives it a kiss, am I melting? because that's how I feel.
