Wake up

I hear a faint beep of a hospital machine, god my head and body is killing me. What the hell happened to me? I slowly open my eyes and the light is making it impossible. I tried to move my hands but one is warm and constricted but as soon as I tried to move it.

“Alessa darling I am here, CALL THE NURSE SHE'S WAKING UP”

Ugh my side of my stomach hurts like hell, the last thing I remember is eating a sandwich and talking to Lina. OMG did she attack me or did rogues get on our territory? I’m so confused.

I open my eyes again and the first thing I see is Orion by my side grabbing my hand.

“How are you feeling beautiful?” He looks tired, with circles under his eyes and the same clothes he was wearing at the meeting.

“Confused, what happened to me?” his features immediately go dark, he looks so mad, I just pad his arm and try to reach him but it's hard with all these tubes. He notices my struggle and sits closer to me on the bed. He takes a deep breath before talking again.

“That disgusting omega attacked you from behind. When we heard the commotion I ran as fast as I could to you after that scene I tried to kill her, but Jack stopped me and you were losing so much blood so fast. She clawed you into pretty deep love. I thought I had lost you for a second” He took a deep breath while sniffing my neck, causing tingles all over my skin. “She apologized saying her wolf had taken over, pathetic if you ask me, but when they interrogated her harder she… Well she finally confessed Jack is her mate so when you told her he had picked you over his destined mate, the rejection had her lost control” I think my mouth is wide open. “She is Jack’s mate? Is that what she said?” He looks at me intently, probably seeing my reaction. wow. I never would have paired them up for a million years, I knew she had a crush on him, but he never looked at her twice, I don't even think he knows her name. “What does Jack say?” I asked, Orion looked uncomfortable “He doesn’t want to see her, he threw her to the dungeons, for attacking you Alessa, you had been asleep recovering for three days and he hasn’t gone down there to see her, but he has come everyday here to see you” Three days? The dungeons are horrible, that's where they take the rogues before killing them, it's probably full of blood, omg why is she getting the worst punishment? I’m horrified that Jack is capable of doing that to her, his own mate. “I feel terrible, take me to her immediately. I want to see her” Orion look at me serious “No Alessa, you just woke up. And I don’t want you anywhere near her or meddling with that situation”

“SHE IS THERE BECAUSE OF ME, I can’t sit here while she lies in a dungeon! Where is Jack?” Either he takes me or I escape to go there myself, he must look at my determined eyes, he takes a deep breath defeated. “Fine but I will go with you, Jack went to town to get the doctor he should be here in about an hour so we must hurry” He carries me princess style, and I must be blushing like crazy, I was not expecting him to be so careful and supportive I feel so lucky, but then I remember Lina my god I really can't believe Jack did that to her and that Luna let him. We sneaked out quietly. We didn't want anyone to inform Jack of our little detour, Orion lent me his hoodie and we were very quiet as I led him through the back passages. We took the stairs that led down to the dungeon. I have never been here since as I child my curiosity killed me and Jack, we ended up seeing some horrible stuff. I started sweating a little, and Orion looked at me intently and whispered in my ear “She can’t hurt you” He sent fireworks to my skin my god, me having so little clothes just makes me want to jump him! He probably thought I was scared of Lina. I didn’t realize I was leaning into him when a noise made us jump a little. We were just outside the dungeon and there was only one guard. It was now or never.
