7 - Closer

I can feel his minty breath on my face and just as I was leaning closer to him, the door slams open.

Jack and Almea walk toward us determined, and the pack doctor behind them. If looks could kill Almea would definitly be my murder. Jack looks distrusting to Orion who's still holding my hand. Feeling all the tension the pack doctor says:

“Would you please allow me to examine the patient alone?” making ponting eyes to all my guests. The walk out Almea holding Orion's hands which to my surprise he shakes off, and Jack lingers by the door until the doctor makes him leave.

I finally feel like I can breathe again. “It is not very serious, just a lousy cut.” The doctor smiled reassuringly, I started feeling tired and sleepy after all that ride of emotions, just as the doctor was walking out Jack gets in again and examines my bandage.

“Alesy we need to talk” That's his nickname for me, when we were little he used to call me like that all the time. I nod and pat the side of the bed, he jumps without a second thought, grabs my hand and starts caressing back and forth, he always feels like home and safe to me. “I don't like the way Alpha Orion has been acting around you, and before you say anything, yes I am jealous but that's not the only reason. He is dangerous, his whole pack is, they were banned for a reason, they are different from us, they like to reject their fated mates and cause mayhem wherever they go. The only reason we admitted them to the moon party is because all the alphas and their stronger warriors will be present but we don´t trust them. Everyone is on high alert. I just nod and rest my head on his shoulder, he is right about everything he just said, I should be careful I am the next beta in line of this pack I can´t let these feelings get the best of me. We started talking about his birthday party coming up and I don't know at what moment but both of us fell asleep.
