Tessa stormed out of the detention room, Amara following silently. As they stepped into the cool evening air, Tessa pulled out her phone and dialed Zara's number.
"Hey, Z, it's Tessa. Follow me to meet someone," Tessa said, trying to sound casual.
Zara's voice came through the phone, hesitant. "Tessa, what's up? I'm kinda busy..."
Tessa's grip on the phone tightened. "Just come, Z. It's important."
Zara sighed. "Tessa, I'm sorry. I can't."
Tessa rolled her eyes. "Fine. Forget it."
She hung up and dialed another number. "Kia, it's Tessa. You up for some trouble?" Kia was that one friend from middle school who always loved causing chaos.
Kia laughed. "Depends. What's the plan?"
Tessa smirked. "Egging Principal Miller's house. You in?"
Amara turned and walked away without a word.
Kia's response was immediate. "Count me in. When?"
Tessa glanced at her watch - 6:30 PM. "Tonight. 10 PM. Meet me at the old park."
Kia chuckled. "Sounds like revenge. See you then."
A sleek black car pulled up beside Tessa. She opened the door and slipped in. "Home," she said to the driver.
Tessa sank into the car's plush seat, phone still clenched in her hand. As the city blurred past, she gazed out the window, her mind racing with plans.
The car pulled up to her mansion, and Tessa slipped out, nodding at the security guard. Inside, she headed straight to the kitchen, grabbing a sandwich and eating it on the go.
In her room, she dropped her bag and pulled out her laptop. A few clicks later, a pack of eggs was on its way to be delivered to the old park.
Tessa changed into dark clothes and sneakers. She slipped a hoodie over her head and grabbed a backpack.
At 9:10 PM, she slipped out of the house, making sure no one was watching. The night air was cool as she made her way to the old park. Kia would be waiting. And Principal Miller's house would be in for a surprise.
