Zeev POV I can hear the soft voices of Lu and Harlee, and am doing my best to keep out of her mind so she can have a private moment or two with the Angel.  Scowling, I walk down the hall towards the back door I had seen in the place.  The door was locked, and I could see Sands’ handiwork in warding to prevent anyone of our kind coming or going from this door without one of us knowing.  Briefly, I sent him a quick mental whisper to let him know I was about to break the seal on his door as I threw it open.  He acknowledged me grimly as I pushed through it, shivering with the heavy weight of the warding and stepped out into cool night air.  This door had little more than a small concrete stoop and several concrete stairs with a metal pipe railing embedded in it.  Gripping the rails, I leaned
