Chapter 3: The Script

412 Words
Mia spends the next few days getting into the rhythm of the set. She becomes more familiar with the crew and cast members and develops a routine for her daily tasks. One day, while sitting in the production trailer, she receives an email from the screenwriter of the film, Simon. Simon has attached the latest draft of the script, along with a note requesting her feedback. Mia eagerly opens the document and begins reading. As she reads, she becomes increasingly concerned. The script has major plot holes, inconsistent character motivations, and cheesy dialogue. She can't imagine how the film will turn out if they shoot with this version of the script. Mia knows she needs to address these issues with Simon, but she's nervous about confronting him. She decides to talk to Ethan about it first, to get his perspective. The next day, while taking a break from filming, Mia approaches Ethan. "Hey, Ethan," she says. "I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something." "Sure, what's up?" Ethan replies. Mia explains her concerns about the script and shows him the draft Simon sent her. Ethan reads through the document, nodding along as Mia points out the problems. "You're right," he says finally. "This needs work." Mia feels relieved that Ethan agrees with her. Together, they come up with a plan to talk to Simon about the script. Later that day, Mia sets up a meeting with Simon in the production trailer. Ethan joins her for support. When Simon arrives, Mia diplomatically brings up her concerns about the script, pointing out the issues they've identified. Simon seems defensive at first, but Mia and Ethan gently guide the conversation towards potential solutions. After a long discussion, Simon agrees to make the necessary changes to the script. Mia feels relieved that they were able to address the problem and is grateful for Ethan's help and support. As she walks back to her apartment that night, Mia can't help but feel a growing sense of admiration for Ethan. He's not only a talented actor but also a kind and thoughtful person who takes his job seriously. Mia realizes that she's developing feelings for Ethan, which makes her nervous. She knows it's unprofessional to have a romantic interest in one of the actors, especially when she's responsible for the smooth operation of the set. But no matter how hard she tries, she can't shake the feeling that there's something special between her and Ethan.
