Chapter 26: White Lights

849 Words
A week after WrestleMania, Skye was already moving again. Different country. Different stage. Different energy. This time— BTS. Their main studio in Seoul was sleek, massive, and buzzing with creativity the second she stepped inside. Music echoed softly through the halls while dancers, producers, and staff moved everywhere with organized chaos. Skye adjusted her sunglasses slightly as she walked in. Then— “SKYE!” The BTS members greeted her almost immediately. RM stepped forward first with a smile. “Welcome to Seoul.” Beside him, Jin grinned brightly. “Finally, we meet.” Suga leaned back casually with a nod while j-hope looked way too excited already. “We saw WrestleMania!” j-hope said instantly. “That performance was crazy!” “And your song with NF,” Jimin added softly, “was honestly fire.” V laughed. “You scared half the internet with that speed rap.” “And impressed the other half,” Jungkook added. Skye laughed. “I appreciate that.” RM nodded thoughtfully. “We want your energy on this song.” “But different,” Jin added dramatically. “Romantic,” Jimin clarified. “Soul touching,” V said. “And dangerous,” Suga finished calmly. Skye blinked. “Dangerous romance?” “Yes!” j-hope yelled instantly. Everyone laughed. One of the producers handed her the lyrics sheet. “We want singing,” RM explained. “But also your rap style. Emotional… intense… but still beautiful.” Skye looked over the lyrics. Then smirked slightly. “Alright,” she said. “Let’s make history.” — The recording sessions lasted days. Then a week. And surprisingly— Skye actually enjoyed herself. Late-night studio sessions. Laughing between takes. Messing around with choreography. Learning Korean phrases from the group while constantly getting them wrong. “No, no,” Jungkook laughed. “You just said I am a potato forever.” The room exploded. Skye pointed at him accusingly. “That is NOT what y’all taught me!” j-hope nearly fell off his chair laughing while Jimin wiped tears from his eyes. “You said it confidently too,” V added. “That’s the worst part,” Suga muttered jokingly. — Eventually— The song was finished. A romantic track layered with emotional vocals, cinematic production, and Skye’s sharp rap verse cutting perfectly through the softer melody. And when it released— The internet exploded. Again. — Then came the live performance. The massive arena in Seoul glowed white under thousands of lights. Fans screamed nonstop. Lightsticks waved everywhere like stars. The atmosphere felt unreal. The BTS members walked onto the stage first, dressed completely in white. The crowd erupted instantly. Then— The beat shifted. And Skye stepped out. The scream that followed was deafening. She wore white fitted shorts, a white body-fit crop top, bright white Nike sneakers, and a beautiful white hat tilted slightly over her long curly black hair. Cool. Effortless. Dangerously stylish. “SKYYYYYYYY!” Both Korean and American fans screamed her name together. The arena shook. Skye laughed into the mic. “Oh y’all LOUD loud tonight!” The crowd screamed even harder. Then the music started. The performance flowed perfectly—smooth vocals blending into explosive rap sections. And when Skye’s verse came in— The arena completely lost control. Fans rapping every word back at her. Phones lighting up the darkness. Even BTS looked impressed watching her command the stage so naturally. By the end— Everyone was breathless. — Backstage afterward, the group was still hyped. “That was insane,” Jungkook said. “You destroyed that stage,” RM added. “We have to celebrate tonight,” Jin declared dramatically. Skye laughed. “I’m down.” — On the way to the afterparty, Skye scrolled casually through her phone. Then paused. “…Oh no.” Jimin leaned closer. “What happened?” She turned the screen toward them. A massive online celebrity poll had suddenly gone viral. WHO STOLE THE SHOW? Millions of votes flooded the screen. And currently— Skye was winning by a landslide. The members reacted instantly. “NOOOO!” j-hope shouted dramatically. “You started a fan war,” V accused jokingly. Skye grinned smugly. “I’m just better.” The whole van erupted. “WOW.” “DISRESPECTFUL.” “REMOVE HER.” Jungkook pointed at her. “This is temporary.” “Sure it is,” she teased. Everyone burst out laughing again. — Later that night, after the afterparty ended— Skye leaned back in the car heading toward her hotel, smiling tiredly to herself. Another successful show. Another country conquered. Another memory made. She glanced down at her phone one last time. Thousands of notifications flooded the screen. Fans. Edits. Posts. Love. Attention. Endless attention. — Then— One message appeared quietly among the others. Unknown number. Again. Her smile faded slightly. The message read: You look beautiful in white. Almost like an angel. Skye stared at the screen silently. Then slowly locked the phone. Because somehow— Even here— He still found her.
