BROKEN CHRONICLES

CHAPTER 1>>A Guardian

The sky was filled with ashes, cars burning, a lot of people running while others were Lying dead on the ground. In the distance stood a rampaging monster. A few Guardians were fighting the monstrosity. The monster seemed too powerful for the Guardians. Then one of the last remaining cities on earth was nearly destroyed by one monster. Admist the fighting stood a boy in a black shirt with black obsidain like hair crying in the sight of his dead mother. His clothes were were shredded in some areas.

One of the fighters of the Guardians saw him and rushed to get him out of the range of the battle. Soon the child found himself being carried by a beautiful Lady. Her eyes were pure and had the same coulor of her blonde hair.

The boy stared at the battle as he was in a military vehicle driving out of the impact zone. The large wall which once protected the city had a huge hole on it. The boy kept staring at fight. The Guardians had Powers which help them fight the monsters. After a while a huge blade materialised in the air.

It pieved the chest of the monster killing it. The battle was a long one but humanity won it at a great cost. The boy felt happy that the monster was killed and also depressed that he witnessed his own mothers death. The lady driving the car stopped it after the ground trembled when the monster fell.

'' Hey kid what's your name'' the women asked with a smile on her face

The boy replied '' Bea mam''

The lody looked at the boy and said'' do you have anygwhere to go''

Tears starred rolling down the boys cheeks '' no mama''

The expression on the lady darkens '' how about you come to live with me and call me sis Taki''

The boy smiled'' OK sis''

Bea grew up with Taki in the walls of the northern city. He usually his time alone when his sister was out on long missions. Bea woke up after hearing a knock on the door. He was still sleepy and his vision was a little blurry.

He opened the door. A lady with long blonde hair was standing there in her military uniform. Bea smiled

'' You are back and what time is it''

Taki smiler'' at least pretend to he happy what if l ided''

Bea picked up her bag'' l would hunt every monster ''

She laughed and entered the apartment. Bea closed the door and followed behind her. He was now a grown up with short hair and ordinary muscles.

Taki sat in the kitchen '' did you cook my share'' she wqa staring at Bea who was entering the kitchen

Bea came out of the kitchen with a bunch of food warmers. Taki smiled when she noticed him

'' l see so you did think about me''

Bea sat on the other chair and said '' just eat its in the middle of the night''.

Taki looked at her food'' don't mind if l do''.

Taki finished all her food and returned her gaze to Bea and said'' L have applied you to join the Guardians''.

Bea smiled'' well l was planning on doing that myself but thank you''.

Taki laughed'' ooh l see and how is life treating you''

Bevy smiled '' great actually and now that l am about to join the Guardians l am pretty sure it's gonna get more interesting''

TAki offered him a smile and said'' why do you want to become a Guardian''.

Bevy looked at the moon through the window and asked '' why did you join it sis''.

Taki replied'' coz l thought it would be fun and l was born poor so there was no other joice l wanted to live a great live and also protect people''.

Bevy was surprised with her reasons and said '' l want to join so that you can be proud of me coz you are all l hav.e and so that l won't see many other people die''

Taki remained quite for a while'' well l am already proud of you for joining but promise one thing'.'

Bevy looked at her '' what''.

Taki smiled'' that you won't die''.

Bevy smiled ''l won't l promise''.

Taki was happy with his reply and said '' once you join the Guardians always depend on your teammates and let them depend on you , second choose the type of armour that suits yiy and lastly if things go out if hand run got it''.

Bevy replied'' got it and by the way what does your armour look like''.

Taki stood up and a white radiance covered her body. An armour materialised around her body. It was blue in colour. It was made out of of blue scales. Its coulr suited Taki so was its design. The suit disappeared.

'' That's my suit '' She sat down bevy looked at her and asked

'' why did you choose such a suit''

She replied '' well because it suits my skill with an long blade''

Bevy remained quite for a while'' what do you think my design should be like ''

She replied'' why do you ask me''

Bevy smiled'' its great to get help from a professional''

Taki laughed '' l am on a 4 rank soldier''.

He looked at her while she laughed'' who cares just help me coz tomorrow is the recruitment day''

Taki replied ''l think you should design your own suit rather than to upgrade designs which were designed by other people. And l think l can tell from our previous fights you proitise deception , speed and sneek attracts but l admit it was fun fighting you''.

Bevy looked to the side '' you almost killed me the last time we visited the gym''.

Taki laughed '' but you survived right'.'

Bevy replied in an angry tone '' at the hospital ''.

She laughed'' but your had qontesence ever since you were a kid so l knew you would not die easily''.

'' Really so you just had to stab me with a sword'' bevy looked at her with an angry expression.

Taki smiled '' l apologized right now to the main topic ,tomorrow you will go to the recruitment camps and before the challenges you will get to design or choose your suit and your skills will determine what type of a soldier you are going to be''.

Bevy looked at her'' Okay l think l get it and l already have a clue on what my suit will look like''.

He remembered the drawing which he had drawn when he was a kid for his mother. He still had the drawing in his room because his mother handed it to him before she died. He was 5 years old but he remembered it like it was yesterday.

'' Really thats great'' Taki smiled as she had noticed his expression had changed.

Bevy noticed her smile and the depression which had began to build in his heart disappeared. He looked at his beautiful sister and said '' l am going to rest , l will need all the energy l have because who knows what it will be like outside the walls''.

Taki laughed'' the best way to train someone will be in the place where the dangers comes from but the training camp is not that far from the city''.

She paused and looked at Bea '' it will be lonely without you here''.

Bevy smiled '' dont worry l will return as soon as possible and will keep in touch''.

Taki left her sit and headed to her room while saying '' go get some rest l will see you tomorrow morning''.
