As no one including me knew what I was I was required to go first. I went towards the center where there was moonlight streaming down from the hole in the roof. The examiner came forward and gave me a liquid "This will help you shift and also prevent you from hurting others". "Is it a sleeping drug?" I asked he nodded I took the flask and made a motion of drinking but did I not drink the medicine. Then I got a notification

then it started to pain all over my body it was so painful that I almost passed out, but it when as quickly as it came. Then before I knew it I became bigger, way bigger than I was as a human. then the shifter assessment teacher exclaimed in part excitement and part fear.

"He shifted into Cerberus ". " I don't know much about Cerberus but I know it has three heads," another examiner said gazing up at me. "It's only symbolic to represent the fact that Cerberus can see the dark past, present, future of any soul." the shifter examiner said. then everyone fell into silence. I looked around I realized I was too big to move around so I tried to shift back.

I started to shift to the size of a normal wolf. While shifting I released

dark energy towards everyone except one boy sitting at the front. When everyone was blinded due to being caught off guard I Went and touched the magic rock which was used to test for mages. I was aiming for the boy to see it. And then I went towards that boy and sat down next to him as a wolf. he was extremely shocked after seeing I had magic even when I was a shifter. I could talk to people in their minds after I shifted, every shifter could do it that's how we communicated after shifting.

"Be careful there is a wolf behind you"Mark shouted in fright. "Calm down that's my pet wolf his name is Shadow" I informed Mark. "Wow you have a pet wolf the more I get to know you the more mysterious you become." "Alright let's move we have to hurry if we leave now we can reach the academy in two days," I said while mounting shadow.

"We have been riding for 6 hours are you sure there is a village here because all I can see is are trees and more trees all around us," Mark asked looking all around the clearing we had stoped in. " You were the one who said that with the shortcut we could reach the academy in a single day. If we had gone from the road used by the traders we wouldn't have been lost."
