1 Second Meeting

Abigale POV     Today is my first day working at our company.  It feels wrong to say ours since I didn't build it but was born into it.  My parents insist its my legacy.  I love my parents they have taught me what a loving relationship is supposed to look like.  They both are driven in work as evidenced by us having the number one financing company in New York but outside of that they always made time for me and my brothers. They made sure we ate dinner together at night and went to all our school games and functions.  In two days my parents will be celebrating twenty three years of marriage.  That is really hard to believe because they still act like teenagers with each other which is totally gross.  I get off the elevator on the top floor of our office building.  Aunt Brenda and Uncle Jacob start fussing over me.  I love them but I want them to see me as a professional and they still see me as the little girl they helped raise.  I know I will prove that I am a serious business woman to everyone.  They both hug me and I head to my new office. When I walk in my parents are waiting and yell congratulations.  They have a cake and balloons.  Thank goodness there is only one first day.  As soon as they are done congratulating me my dad is already giving me grief about my outfit. "Abby why do you have to wear such a form fitting business dress."  Dad I am a grown up now I can't dress like a little girl.  I am 5'7" with long blonde hair and I take after my mother which means I am curvy which I love.  "Andrew leave your daughter alone that is the same things I wear to the office and you love them on me."  My father looks mortified "I don't want any man looking at my daughter like I look at you."  Unfortunately dad that is going to happen.  "Andrew she is going to find a nice man that is going to love her the way you love me now stop harassing her about her clothes she looks beautiful."  I love that my mom puts him in his place about things like this.  They both kiss me and my mom tells me we have a meeting at ten with Dominique Demetris she would like me to sit in on.  "I don't think she should be involved with that client Gia."  Dad I will be involved with all the clients if you want this to feel like my company too.  "Ok sweetheart I'm sorry your right we will see you at ten."  Once they walk out my phone rings and its Derrick a guy I have been casually dating.  I had asked him about attending my parents anniversary party in two days.  Hello he says when I pick up. "Abby I will be able to go the that party if you still want me to attend."  Derrick is a nurse at a local hospital, we met at a fundraiser.  It hasn't been serious but he is a nice guy.  That's great Derrick pick me up at my apartment at six I am wearing a silver dress.  "Sounds good see you then."  I hang up and start to review the files on my desk.     Luca POV     Dad you know I don't do the finance business piece why don't you take Gio.  He works for his dad and he understands all that finance stuff.  I still don't understand why we didn't move the accounts to Uncle Anthony's firm anyway.  "Anthony wanted to build his company without mob money and I respect that" my father says.  He is now the head of the family since my grandfather is essentially retired.  I try to stay to the clean parts of the business.  I run a restaurant in New York called Manja Manja that I am very proud of.  My family at times does conduct meetings there but for the most part I don't get involved with the illegal dealings of my family.  That doesn't mean I am never called upon for a job but I don't take lives. I am the second born so my older brother is the one that will take over when my dad gets to retire.  Dominick is more then happy to get his hands dirty that's why we are usually at odds.  I try to make him understand my point of view but he puts our family above all things.  He married a nice Italian girl that my grandfather pushed on him.  It turned out alright because Theresa is actually a good wife and mother but I know it wouldn't have mattered if she was, deals are made for a reason.  I will never marry anyone I don't love or want to.  They already know my feelings on the arranged marriage so they leave me out of it for now.  I date but I haven't gotten serious about anyone.  I am no virgin but I also don't sew my seed with every female I meet like my eighteen year old brother Leonardo, Leo as we call him.  "I know you have your own business son but this is nothing illegal and Dominick has other things to handle today."  Ok pops I will go but I won't be much help but being a scary looking motherf**ker.  I am 6"2" with wavy black hair and I have a big muscular frame.  I work out and care about my appearance.  My brothers bust my a** calling me the pretty boy.  "I don't need you to be scary around these people they are good to us and they are straight as an arrow."  Ok pops I am going to go put on a suit and we can leave.  I head to the apartment I use on the family property to take a shower and get dressed.  I get into the car my dad is driving and we head to the Kennedy and Brentmore building.       Abigale POV     We head into the conference room that is set up for our meeting.  I have the file in front of me and when I open it I realize that this is Uncle Anthony's family account.  That means that Gio might be coming I hope I haven't seen him since I graduated from college.  He works at his dad's firm so we talk all the time but getting together is difficult.  If he comes we will have to set up to get lunch with each other at least once a week.  Aunt Brenda buzzes the intercom letting us know that the clients have arrived.  I stand as my parents do to greet them when who I assume is Dominick Demetris walks in.  When he is heading toward the table I realize he brought someone with him but it is not Gio.  Holy s**t its Luca the boy, well no longer boy, from my sixteen birthday party.  We lock eyes and I can feel myself swallow.  Holy s**t he is so hot I can feel my panties dampen already.  I hear my father clear his throat and we all take a seat.  Formal introductions are made and Luca takes my hand to shake it.  We start to talk business and I can feel Luca staring at me but I am trying to keep my composure.  When we are done talking business we get up to say are goodbyes and Luca holds my hand longer than what is typical but I don't mind it.  Again my father clears his throat bringing us out of our staring contest.  When I look at Dominique he is smiling at me and then his son.  "It was very nice to me you Abigale I look forward to working with you."  Thank you Mr. Demetris I look forward to working with you.  "Please call me Dominique we are practically family after what your parents did for my brother."  Have a good day he says before they both walk out of the conference room.  "What the hell was that Abby I told you before to stay away from that boy."  Dad first of all I was sixteen and he most certainly is not a boy anymore.  My dad looks like he is going to lose his mind.  I was just being friendly to a client and you are definitely over reacting.  I am grown and can date and be friends with whoever I chose to.  Don't you trust my judgement? "Of course I do Abby but I don't trust him so please for my sanity stay away from him."  I will take what you are saying into consideration dad but just trust my choices.  My dad pulls me into a hug and I know he does even though he thinks all boys aren't good enough for me.  It really is sweet.       Luca POV     Gio I saw one of your old friends today.  "Who would that be Luca?"  Do you remember that girl that you took me to her birthday party when she was sixteen, Abigale.  "Abigale Brentmore she isn't an old friend we are still bestfriends."  No s**t really well she grew into the most smoking hot woman I have ever seen. "First of all classy, second gross she is like a sister to me, and third don't even think about it." "She is not a girl you hit and quit like your other bimbos."  I am offended Gio I am not Leo I don't just date bimbos.  He looks at me with a crooked smile.  I mean it I am not a man wh**e, you think I am not good enough for your friend.  "I didn't say that Luca I know you are good guy she just doesn't know our family business."  You know I don't get involved in that just like you.  "You are right I just don't want to see her hurt."  I understand that but I would like to get to know her.  "Ok Luca but you better not hurt her."  "Don't make me regret this" I look at him confused.  "There is a anniversary party for her parents in two days and I am invited, if you promise me that you won't hurt her you can be my guest since I don't have a date."  Oh that's sweet cuz I get to be your date.  Gio hits me in the arm.       Abigale POV     Derrick and I walk into the hotel ballroom where my parents are having their anniversary party. I see my mother and father and we head in their direction.  When we reach their table my father turns to me and smiles till he sees my dress.  My mother leans in and says something in my fathers ear and he puts a smile on his face even though I know he wants to comment on my dress.  I kiss my father and mother then we head to our table.  When I sit down I look over and see Gio walking in with none other than Luca.  I know my dad thinks he is trouble but he is the hottest man I have ever seen.  Just as I have that thought Derrick asks me to dance. We head to the floor and Derrick wraps his arms around me. I look past Derrick shoulder and see a very angry looking Luca looking at me. I wonder what he is so pissed about?
