Georgina bit her lips tightly, feeling torn and conflicted. She didn't know what to think then but mustered the courage to speak, "Grandma, I'm sorry, but I must refuse. Since you have already assigned this task to Ryan, he should negotiate." The old grandmother's voice turned furious, "You! Gina, do you think you have grown wings now? Do you believe the Clark family cannot cooperate with Zion Entertainment without you? You're being too arrogant!"

Before the words could even entirely leave the old grandmother's mouth, Georgina abruptly hung up the phone! Esther and Wilfred exchanged glances at the dinner table, and then Esther angrily exploded!

"Gina, what on earth do you think you're doing?!" Esther slammed her hand on the table, her anger evident. "Do you even realize the consequences of offending your grandma? How do you expect to live peacefully in the Clark family if you defy her wishes? I know old granny favors Ryan, and he is indeed talented, but now that she has specifically asked you to negotiate, can't you just back down and comply?"

Georgina clenched her lips tightly as she recalled Nicholas's text message earlier. She wasn't sure what she was thinking then, but she had followed his advice and rejected the old granny's request.

Listening to Esther's complaints, Georgina kept silent and discreetly took out her mobile phone. Surprisingly, she subconsciously texted Nicholas: [I rejected the old granny. What should I do next?]

In a swift motion, Esther grabbed the mobile phone from Georgina's hand. "Fine, so you rejected the old granny because of Nicholas's influence, huh?!" Esther's chest angrily heaved as she pointed at Georgina, "Are you out of your mind? You believe Nicholas's words! Let me tell you, after Granny's birthday, you better divorce him immediately!"

Georgina told her mother, "Nicholas somehow knew that grandma would call me..." Esther's anger escalated, and she slammed the table, criticizing Nicholas, saying, "He's a worthless man! Who has a son-in-law like him? Other sons-in-law are worth tens of millions of dollars!" As Esther continued, her frustration grew, and mentioning Nicholas made her furious.

That afternoon, the Clark family's grandmother sent Dylan Clark to negotiate. Dylan, a leader among the younger generation of the Clark family, second only to Ryan, was immediately turned away by the security guards at Zion Entertainment before he could even speak.

After Dylan returned, the grandmother was utterly flustered. What was going on? Did Zion Entertainment only recognize Georgina? The old granny sat on a chair, chain-smoking one cigarette after another.

"Grandma, I do have a solution," Ryan said as he walked over.

"Grandma, I reckon Georgina is only negotiating the cooperation based on her good looks," Ryan suggested. "From this, we can see that the new president of Zion Entertainment is nothing but a womanizer. In our Clark family, she is not the only one who is beautiful! Monique is also very pretty. Why don't we let Monique give it a try."

Two women in the Clark family were indeed recognized as beautiful. One was Georgina, and the other was Monique, her elder cousin.

Monique was used to being pursued by countless admirers in Broxton, but being rejected herself left her feeling a bit uneasy this time.

The news of the old granny's seventieth birthday had spread, setting the atmosphere at La Belle, the Clark family's villa, abuzz with excitement. Family members rushed back from everywhere to join the celebration, and even beyond Broxton, people were invited to the grand party.

Outside La Belle, the parking area was packed with numerous cars. Georgina and Esther, standing by a Land Rover, anxiously checked their watches, waiting for someone.

Finally, a scooter approached at a leisurely pace. Nicholas quickly got off the scooter, slightly out of breath.

"Traffic jam, traffic jam," he said, trying to catch his breath. He had originally asked Elise to drive him, but the traffic was unbearable. Stuck on the viaduct for over an hour, Nicholas had no choice but to take out his electric bike from the trunk and ride it the rest of the way.
