Nicholas looked at Elise and realized she was the secretary his uncle had mentioned.
"President, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be late. There was a terrible traffic jam on the road..." Elise spoke in a low voice, not meeting Nicholas's eyes as she slightly bowed.
"Elise, what on earth are you talking about?" Daniela stepped forward, her beautiful face showing some irritation. "This is our new security guard. Why are you making up stories?"
"Security guard?" Elise quickly rummaged through her bag and pulled out a photo. She glanced at the picture and then back at Nicholas. Then, she turned to Daniela and said, "I didn't see wrong. He is our new President, President Nicholas Godfrey."
"What?!" Everyone opened their mouths in disbelief and stared at Nicholas with wide eyes!
"Miss, you... You must have mistaken him for someone else, right?" Heather bit her lip and glanced at Elise. "This person's name is Nicholas Clark. He's my classmate. Look at his poor aura. How can he be the President?"
"That's impossible! What kind of President wears street clothes and rides a beat-up scooter bike? And we just attended the reunion; no one at the party paid attention to Nicholas!" Other employees also chimed in, expressing their doubts about the situation.
"Mistaken?" Elise opened her cell phone and placed it in front of Heather. She said, "Take a closer look. The patriarch of the Godfrey family personally told me that the new President's name is Nicholas! There are also photos of the President in chat history. Look for yourself!"
Heather's mind went blank for a moment. Her legs felt weak, and she didn't dare to look Nicholas in the eye.
Meanwhile, Daniela was biting her lip, her face showing unease. As the deputy manager at Zion Entertainment, she held significant authority, but she knew the Godfrey family ultimately owned the company. Threatening to fire the President was a severe misstep.
"Nick... Nicholas..." Daniela approached him cautiously and spoke softly.
Nicholas sneered, "Heather is just a classmate, and you're her aunt, not mine. I don't want to be called casually by you."
"President, I was wrong... I know I messed up."
Daniela's voice was filled with remorse as she lowered her head.
Nicholas waved his hand, cutting off Daniela's words, and then turned to the head of security. The head of security was utterly stunned, stumbling a few steps and almost sitting on the ground.
"You're fired," Nicholas told him before walking into the company.
With a group of people trailing behind him, the staff below were buzzing with discussions. Both Heather and Daniela now followed him closely, no longer acting arrogant. Although walking in high heels was inconvenient, they trotted to keep up with Nicholas.
Zion Entertainment was indeed grand, with its interior resembling a palace. News of the new President's appointment spread throughout the company, and staff members bowed their heads in respect as Nicholas made his way through.
Seated in the President's office on the eleventh floor, Nicholas couldn't help but marvel at the place's grandeur. Three years ago, he had been driven out of the family, and he never imagined he would be in such a magnificent setting now.
Nicholas looked up as Heather and Daniela entered the office, standing in line before his desk.
"I apologize, President, Sir," Daniela said, biting her lip. "Can Heather still sign the contract with our company? As long as I can secure the contract, I will do anything."
"Do anything, huh?" Nicholas chuckled, finding the situation amusing. However, Secretary Elise knocked on the door before he could respond and enter.
"President, Mr. Ryan Clark from Corent is here to discuss business," Elise informed.
Nicholas seethed with anger upon hearing Ryan's name. "Tell him to get lost," he sneered.
"Understood," Elise replied curtly.

At La Belle, Barbara called for an emergency meeting, gathering hundreds of family members.
"Grandma, Zion Entertainment is too much!" Ryan's face flushed with anger. "I went to discuss collaboration, and they told me to get lost! Can you believe it? They are looking down on the Clark family!" he fumed.
The other members of the Clark family shook their heads in agreement. They knew Zion Entertainment held significant influence, and they didn't dare to provoke them further.
"Okay," the old woman waved her hand, "I heard the new President of Zion Entertainment is just twenty-eight years old. This young and promising person has strong backing from investors. Despite their rude behavior, our Clark family will continue to seek cooperation. Who among you would like to give it another try?"
"What?" Everyone exclaimed. A twenty-eight-year-old President with influential investors backing them was quite a surprise.
They all exchanged looks, the idea of seeking cooperation becoming more intriguing. But the thought of sending Ryan again to pursue collaboration with Zion Entertainment seemed like a recipe for disaster. No one was willing to step up for such a risky task.
Barbara sighed, realizing no one in the room would want to take up the task. However, she knew the benefits of cooperating with Zion Entertainment could be enormous for the Clark family. Giving up was not an option.
Ryan clenched his fists and suddenly sneered. He stood up and said, "Grandma, why don't you let Georgina try?"
"Ryan, seriously?" Georgina bit her lip, feeling utterly frustrated with her cousin's constant trouble-making. He could be so infuriating at times.
"What?" Ryan shot back, "Your company is struggling, right? Why don't you step up and help the family?"
Ryan ran to Barbara's side and said, "Grandma, for the cooperation task, let Georgina handle it!"
Barbara nodded. She always had a soft spot for Ryan in the family, so hearing his suggestion, she immediately turned her attention to Georgina. "Gina, you can do this. Go to Zion Entertainment tomorrow and discuss the cooperation."
"Grandma, I..." Georgina tried to speak, but the grandmother waved her hand dismissively. "That's settled, let's go."
Hundreds of people stood up and left, grateful they hadn't been chosen for the task.
Back home, Georgina felt uneasy. It seemed impossible for her to complete the task. How was she supposed to handle the cooperation meeting tomorrow?
Feeling upset, Georgina called her best friends, Blaire and Gwen, and invited them to rant about her frustrations.
After her best friends arrived, Georgina felt better and in a good mood.
"Gina, is that trash still not back?" Blaire asked as she sat on the sofa, picking up a glass of red wine and sipping it gently.
Georgina knew who Blaire was precisely referring to as "trash." She smiled and replied, "He went out after breakfast and hasn't returned yet."
"Gina, you've got impressive endurance," Blaire remarked, setting down the wine glass. "I can't stand someone like Nicholas. Your company is short of money now. If you had a capable husband, even if he couldn't provide five million, at least he could contribute two or three million. But Nicholas doesn't even have twenty or thirty thousand."
Just as they talked, the door opened, and Nicholas walked in, carrying a black sack covered in dirt. On his way back from the company, he got caught in sudden rain, and since his scooter was damaged earlier in the morning by Heather, he had to walk back and got completely soaked.
"Ah, speaking of the devil," Blaire remarked as she glanced at him.
Nicholas couldn't be bothered to engage with her and placed the black bag on the sofa.
"Nicholas, do you still have the audacity to come back?" Esther emerged from the bedroom with an angry expression. "If it weren't for you going against Ryan, he wouldn't have recommended Georgina to handle the matter with Zion!"
Esther stared at Nicholas with a cold look. "You're becoming more and more unruly now. You had a confrontation with Ryan during the annual meeting, and you still have the nerve to return?" She scolded him, "Can't you remove your muddy shoes when you enter the house? And why are you putting your dirty bag on the couch? Do you even want to stay in this house? If you don't want to stay, then leave!"
Nicholas let out a long sigh. Indeed, he had made a mess in the room, but Nicholas had been doing all the housework for years. Esther's scolding didn't get to him; he might have been driven mad long ago if he cared about her opinion.
With an indifferent attitude, Nicholas walked up to Georgina and said with a cheeky smile, "Honey, is your company still in urgent need of five million? I'm here to help..."
"Ha!" Blaire sneered, interrupting Nicholas and giving him a mocking look. "This guy is shameless, beyond saving. Wimps shouldn't meddle in CK Group's affairs. Georgina is short of five million, and you're useless. How dare you bring this up?"
Hearing Blaire scold Nicholas, Georgina sighed and gently said, "Stop it, Blaire. Don't scold him."
Usually, Georgina would stay silent and let them berate her husband as they pleased, but Nicholas spoke up for her at the annual meeting yesterday when Ryan picked on her.
"I didn't say anything wrong, did I? I think you're just too softhearted to endure living with him. If I were you, I would have divorced him long ago." Blaire rolled her eyes and continued, "You've been married to him for three years. Haven't you grown tired of seeing his face every day? How can you stand it?"
Before Georgina could say anything, Nicholas finally broke his silence. "Blaire."
He stared at her intently as he closed the distance between them. He scanned her from head to toe and inwardly sighed. Even though he hated to admit it, Blaire was beautiful, especially now that she wore a mini skirt. It accentuated her long white legs. However, for him, she still couldn't hold a candle to his wife.
"How do you know I can't help with my wife's company problem?" Nicholas paused as he smirked, "I remember that you said before if I could fork out five million, you would call me dady."
"Of course, I remember that." Blaire crossed her arms; her expression was arrogant. "If you can take it out, I'll treat you like a boss, but if you can't, you'll call me Ma'am."
"Sorry, but you should practice calling me dady!"
