Three Years Later/Celebration

Three years Later: 2009

Ethan and Kalmin training with Captain Brady ended a year and a half after it started. Captain Brady harsh training prepared them, but it wasn’t enough. Their wolves felt they knew more about getting them ready to rule and protecting the pack. They also learned Ethan wolf Amaury had a temper and the only person that can calm him down was Kalmin and his wolf Adir, Alpha Blackwood learned this quickly.

That one time that they were separated, Ethan aura almost tore the whole building down. Three years of training has prepared the boys to shift freely without screaming in pain. They were ready to prove that they were ready for anything, so they were really excited for tonight coming of age celebration with the allied packs.

This ceremony was like a coming out party for the boys and girls that turned seventeen and for finding their mates, for this night if you found your mate you shift and get to go on a run with them. A couple of their classmates have found their mate within the pack. Some as early has fifteen. Of-course they weren’t allowed to mark each other before the ceremony. Ethan and Kalmin also made two close friends that their wolves had a kindred spirit with, named Gus and Dre. The Luna oversaw getting the hall ready, she loved celebrations that she could be a dictator on what food should be served and what the decorations should look like. They got to build this big hall with a beautiful skyline to let the moonlight in and a sensor door to open when they changed in their wolf form and a stage for a DJ, that holds fifteen hundred people and wolf’s. From over the years, other packs tried to gain Ethan’s’ favor. So, in return their daughters will get to know him in hopes that he’ll choose them. Alpha Blackwood accepted their money with open hands and always said “If my son heart and wolf is drawn to them he will choose them”, he knew not to make promises that he couldn’t keep.

Anna could not stand it when the allied packs alpha came to visit, they have always brought their daughters and got to spend time with Ethan. Anna was forced to stay away while they would spend the day together. Amaury could not stand Anna anymore, he thought she was annoying, and Ethan’s feelings never changed about her. He just tried to be nice to her always. Anna wolf’s name was Jenna, when shifted a small brown wolf. She was not in love with Ethan or Amaury, in fact she was afraid of Amaury she did not want any part in sabotaging Ethan’s get togethers’ like Anna did. On one of the visits, she put itching powder on the clothes of daughter from the Evermane pack when they had a pool day, the poor girl turned red from scratching so much she had to go see the healer and stay in the hospital for three days, there was some wolves’ bane in the powder making her allergic to some ingredients that was in that powder. Anna was severely punished she almost started a war between two allied packs. Her father’s power could not save her, doing this she still did not learn her lesson. Over and over and again Anna kept pulling those stunts until finally Ethan asked his dad to tell the Alphas to leave their daughters home, he needed to be training anyway. That made Anna happy, so she kept watching Ethan train from afar in the shadows.

The Celebration:

The Luna had to hall all deck out, sparkling lights were hung on the walls, white and lavender sheer tool with more sparkling lights hung from the ceiling. The food was buffet style with roasted chicken, steak, prime ribs, Lamb Parma, Ham, Sirloin, Broccoli and cheese, baked apples, chocolate cake and tossed salad. The Luna had two groups of Omegas serving. One group will serve and after a while switch and have fun. The celebration was like the prom from the human world, so everyone was dressed in tuxes and ball gowns, long dresses, off the shoulder dresses, freak em’ dresses heels and dress shoes. Invites were giving to Alpha Knight of Night Wolves, Alpha Moore of Evermane, Alpha Anderson of Oak Hounds. Alpha Damon of Demonhides, Alpha Green of Wildcrest, and Alpha Mortikya of Bloodmoon pack along with their mates and betas. This was the only weekend of the year where all packs can get together with no fighting and bring their young together to find their mates. Alpha Blackwood hired a group of rogue mercenaries from a different country so they cannot be bought off by another pack or betray him, to guard the ceremony and his pack military the guard the community. Alpha Blackwood announces, “Let the celebration begin!” and everyone walks in the hall, the Servers hand everyone a drink as they walk in the music begins to play. Everyone mingles together, talking and getting to know each other. Ethan and Kalmin were over at the buffet table when Kalmin smelled something so sweet leaving the taste of honeysuckle on his tongue and smooth, rich like a mellow cup of tea, he was satisfied with the smell. He smiled proudly as he looked around to see where that smell was coming from, as he looked to the to the left, he saw the most beautiful sight with barbecue sauce on her face holding a prime rib and she was looking back at him. Ethan looked at his best friend and smile as Kalmin slowly started walking towards this light brown skinned, with straight brown hair and light green eyes wearing a long pastel strapless dress in black heels. Adir whispered ‘My beautiful mate” once Kalmin reaches her, he picks up a wet nap and wipes the barbeque sauce off her face. “Hi Beautiful, I’m Kalmin what’s yours?”. She looks him in his eyes as she swallowed the food in her mouth and in a small voice responds, “Athena of the Wildcrest”. Kalmin puts both hands on her face and bring her in and kisses her sweetly, pulling back from the kiss Athena knees goes a little weak and Kalmin wraps his arms around her, “Your gonna move in with me”, she shakes her head yes and puts the rib down, he takes her hand and wipes it clean. He walks her outside the hall and began to undress, Athena took off her shoes as her eyes burned a deep dark green. Sliding down her dress she looks over at Kalmin as he shifted into Adir. With her mouth wide open staring at a large grey wolf with a white patch over his ears. She walks to him kissing his nose and backs up and shifts into her medium sized light brown wolf with white patches on her paws. Adira licks his face and nuzzles her mate. Adir licks her back and lightly nips her ear. He takes off in the forest and Adira followed.

All night Ethan Avoided Anna, each time she came in his space her smell was horrible it nearly knocked the wind out of him. Anna stopped moving when she smelled fresh rain in the forest, she looked around to see who it was coming from; she spotted a five-foot nine middle-built boy with a close cut and brown eyes. She hears Jenna say “mate”, Anna frowns and runs back to Ethan who she sees walk away as she was headed towards him. Anna stops in her tracks and darts for the bathroom, running to a stall she closes it and cries. While in the bathroom she smelled fresh rain in the forest again, Jenna purrs for her mate. Anna gets up wipes her face and opens the door, “I don’t accept you nor do I reject you”. Anna says, she rushes past him avoiding his reach and out the ceremony hall and goes home, Jenna wines for her mate as she disconnects more from Anna. Anna knew if she rejected him, she would probably lose her wolf; they already don’t get along and she barely hears her talk as it is. She reaches home and walks upstairs taking off her dress walks in the bathroom and turns on the water. Her father knocks on the door and ask her “did you have a good time”, Anna responds by saying “It was interesting, I will be out after a bath” he walks away as she sits in the tub. Reaching up to turn the water off, she sighs deeply as she slides under the water.

Back at the hall Ethan noticed he didn’t feel any different, Amaury wasn’t happy speaking to anybody. They didn’t feel their mate around or hear the words mate, so he walked up to his dad “I’m ready to go dad she’s not here”. Alpha Blackwood began to speak. “Son…” without even listening to his dad response, he turns around and walks back to the house and just goes to bed.
