Introduction
Waking up to the nurses checking her cervix, Layla yawns as she feels pressure and becomes aware that her body feels different. “Alright honey it’s time to push your fully dilatated and the head is right there” the nurse said. Layla allows the nurse to help her push up and spread her legs as Dr. Woods walks in, “alright who’s ready to have a baby?”. Layla half smiles appreciating how nice he is being to her. She really didn’t like him at first because she sensed his attitude , but he has shown he really cares about her baby, so he has grown on her. As the moon shone down on her from the ceiling, making her body glow silver, Layla shakes her head. Upset that she must do this alone, she takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly as she feels her epidural wears off. She starts to feel the sharp pain called contractions. "You will want to push down when you feel your contractions, honey, take a deep breath. You are not alone here. We are here Luna.” the nurse said to her, squeezing her hand. Thinking about how this woman know she felt alone, and how she ended up in this situation, she thought back. The doctor looked Layla in the eyes bringing her back into the moment and bowed his neck in submission, and said "My Queen, you are safe here." as she began to push “Push! 1,2,3,4
