    Angel could barely contain her excitement of going to find another pet.  Angel had persuaded Deacon to stop at the local market on the way so Angel could get treats for all the animals. Deacon quietly let Angel peruse the animals one by one. So many dogs that needed good homes, pleading with sad eyes that begged for a quick pat on the head, just to know that they aren't alone. Angel stopped in front of each cage, talking to each dog, telling them what a good dog they are. Each dog received a biscuit as Angel stepped to the next cage.      One dog just looked at Angel, she didn't move, or bark. Deacon knelt down so his size didn't scare the German Shepard.
