"Mumtaz has only a few months left."
Umeed felt sad and betrayed. She thought she and Mumtaz were friends. As a friend, she would have shared this with her. It would have made things easier for all three of them. She never ever wanted this to happen to Mumtaz. She always prayed for her wellbeing. More than that, she could not imagine Ahad's world without her. Ahad was always a good husband to her. She was his first love. How can Ahad bear her loss? Would she ever be able to mend him? Would she ever be able to get him out of that pain?
She didn't even know for how long Mumtaz has been enduring it alone but they didn't feel the need to tell her? She felt like an outsider. Someone who didn't deserve to be with them. Someone whom they treated as an unwanted guest.
