The popping sound of champagne echoed throughout the room for a second, followed by cheers from everyone. Francisco wanted to pour me some champagne but I stopped him which made him give me a questioning look. "What's wrong, bro?"
I sighed, dropping my shoulders. "I just feel that this is the worst time to celebrate, you know. Lula is a suspect in a crime, I should be with her, instead, I'm here celebrating."
He placed his hand on my shoulder. "Come on bro, Mona is a hit! This is a big win for our record label, You've worked so hard on this for months, I think it's time you celebrated. And I know that Lula will be proven innocent because she is. I mean, we have no reason to think otherwise, right?"
