Records.
All pointing to one person.
Hailey.
She stood frozen as the accusations filled the room.
“I didn’t do this!” she said, her voice breaking.
But the evidence was clear.
Too clear.
Adrian looked at her.
His expression unreadable.
“Explain.”
“I can’t!” she cried. “Because I don’t know how this happened!”

“I’ve heard enough,” he said coldly.

She grabbed his arm.
“Just trust me one last time.”
He hesitated.

Why do I still want to believe her…?
“Fine,” he said. “One chance.”
Together, they confronted Marcus.
At first, he denied everything.
Calm.
Confident.
Until Hailey spoke.
“You said, ‘She took the fall perfectly.’”
Marcus froze.
Adrian’s eyes narrowed.
“How would she know that?”
Marcus stayed silent.
