✨ Chapter 3✨

(A month later)

Dorothy stared at the car that had graced her father's burial without invitation. She wanted to see who dared to go against her orders.

She had strictly passed the information that only guests with the invitation card are allowed to come in. Whoever was in the car was openly going against her.

Alpha Xavier got down from the car in his glory and stared at the magnificent building before him. It was his first time entering the mansion and he wasn't expecting something so exquisite.

He knew of course that Alpha Juan was a wealthy man but he honestly wasn't expecting this.

"If this was just Alpha Juan's mansion, how big will the pack's mansion be then?" he thought to himself

"Who is he?" Dorothy asked the maidservant standing beside her

"He's the new Alpha of Moon Valley Pack, Alpha Xavier" the maid answered politely

"Alpha Xavier? Moon Valley Pack? I don't remember sending an invitation card to him so what is he doing here?" Dorothy asked angrily

"We are also shocked to see him here My Lady but we have to let it be today. It's your father's burial and we can't create a scene right now" the maid managed to stutter

Dorothy stared at Xavier one last time and went to the part of the house where the burial was taking place.

The party soon started and everyone was mourning the death of a powerful man. Some mourned him as an Alpha while others mourned him as a rich business tycoon.

Alpha Juan was barely forty-eight years old when he passed away so lots of people cried and cried about his sudden death.

It was a sad day for everyone as he was finally laid to rest in peace. As soon as the party was over, Dorothy went to the parking lot intending to leave the mansion in her car but she met Xavier.

"Sorry about your father's death, accept my condolences" Xavier said

"Well, you can keep your condolences to yourself 'cause I don't need it. I never invited you here in the first place so leave while you still can" Dorothy said rudely and got into her car

As soon as she left, Xavier scoffed in disbelief at what she just said to him.

"How old is that brat and who does she think she is to talk to me in that manner?" he asked himself

"I can now understand the reason why I hated the Yellow stone pack without even meeting any of their members. If the Alpha's daughter is so rude, then the members would be worse" he muttered

"Dorothy Alan is really something and I must accolade her for her boldness. I was thinking I would be able to watch them struggle for power today but it didn't happen. They were in order and seemed to be controlled by someone but who could that be?" he thought to himself and finally got into his car

Dorothy on the other hand was so angry that she felt she was going to explode in flames. The reason why she left the burial so quickly was because of Xavier.

She hated the fact that he dared her and her hatred towards him grew even bigger.

*A month later*

The pack mourned their Alpha for thirty days straight as per the traditions of the Yellow stone pack. The mourning period was finally over and it was time to crown a new Alpha.

A meeting was called by the council members and Dorothy made sure to grace the meeting.

"This meeting was called for us to decide on our new Alpha" a council member stated

"As we all know, Alpha Juan never gave birth to a male offspring and the Beta is no longer with us so we don't really have a specific candidate to take up the position.

We have decided to choose one out of the competent men among us as our new Alpha while the Beta's son will become our new Beta"

"You want to choose someone that doesn't have an Alpha's blood running through his vein as the new Alpha?" Dorothy asked with a straight face

"W...we don't have a choice" the members stuttered

"You don't have a choice? Are you saying Alpha Juan didn't have any offspring before he died?" she asked

"H... he had a female offspring" they stammered

"Whether it was a male or female offspring doesn't matter. As long as she has the Alpha's blood in her vein, it means she's qualified to be the next Alpha" she said sternly

"That's absurd! How can we choose a female to be our Alpha?"

"You're right! A male has always led us and we can't change that now"

The council members said a lot of things while Dorothy just watched them with a smirk on her face.

"Are you done? If you are, then get ready to welcome your newest Alpha in the next seven days. If anyone has a problem with Alpha Juan's child taking over the position of Alpha, let him tell that to the Moon goddess. I don't have that much patience so don't try me. Good day" Dorothy concluded and left, leaving the council members distraught

*Moon Valley pack*

Xavier has been waiting for the news about the Yellow stone pack's new Alpha but so far, no important news has been heard.

They just finished the thirty days of mourning for their Alpha so he decided to wait for ten more days and see if an Alpha was really going to be chosen.

"Why are you so interested in Yellow stone pack these days?" Jack, his Beta asked him

"I want to see the downfall of the pack that I hate so much, that's all. If they fall apart, I won't have to compete with anyone and our pack will remain the strongest" he said

"Why do I feel like there's more to it?" Jack teased

"What? Are you trying to say I'm interested in Dorothy?" Xavier asked

"I never said that but seeing as you've just said it yourself, you must be interested in her. I never knew she was your taste, should I get her for you" he asked with a smile

"What are you saying now? Why would I be interested in my enemy? Just get out" Xavier said

"Of course, I was about to leave already" Jack giggled and left

"Interested in her my foot. Who will be interested in that rude and arrogant lady?" Xavier asked himself after Jack left

"I just hate her guts and how she thinks she has everyone and everything wrapped around her fingers" he added and went to bed.

*Seven days later*

"Have you heard the news?" Jack asked Xavier

"There is so much news nowadays so I don't know which exactly you're talking about" Xavier shrugged

"Well, it's about the Yellow stone pack" Jack said

Immediately after Jack said that, Xavier dropped the phone he was holding and concentrated fully on what he was about to be told.

"Wow! I said it! You're interested in the Yellow Stone pack and I don't think it's a bad idea though" Jack shrugged

"What news are you talking about?" Xavier asked, ignoring what he just said

"Uhm! The Alpha of the Yellow stone pack is going to be chosen and crowned today. I think the Alpha has already been decided though" Jack said

"Really? Who is the chosen Alpha?" Xavier asked

"I wasn't able to find that out, but who do you think could have been chosen? Not anyone can be chosen as the Alpha, he needs to have the Alpha's blood running through his vein and so far, no man in that pack has the Alpha's blood running through his veins" Jack explained

"So, you're saying they might choose someone that doesn't have the Alpha's blood flowing through him? That's absurd! Other packs will definitely oppose them for sure" Xavier said

"Then they only have one option. The Alpha's daughter has the Alpha's blood flowing through her veins so..." Jack was saying but Xavier immediately cut him off

"So? What are you trying to say? You think she will be chosen as the Alpha? That's more than absurd! No woman has ever been the Alpha before and it can't change with Dorothy. The Alpha is always a man and Dorothy isn't even a woman yet, she's still a girl" Xavier said

"I don't know, I was just saying. Everything will be over in the evening so we just need to wait until then" Jack shrugged
