“Come on darling, they are perfectly safe with Vera”. I grab Bren’s hand and pull him towards the door of the suite. Vera is watching Stella and Iris along with Anele, while we are at the premiere.
“I know, it’s not that I don’t trust her”. He looks at Vera. “I do trust you”.
She just smiles. “I know Bren, you are just a very protective father… I promise, I will care for them as if they were my own”.
“Thanks again Vera”. I call out pulling my husband with me. “I hope they behave”.
“No worries, they always do”. She calls back.
Bren squeezes my hand. “I still hate leaving them, especially Iris”.
“I know babe, but this is your and Colin’s big night”. I smile at him. “Relax and enjoy, Vera has it under control”.
