The door opens and in walks Colin, followed by Bren. Oh God he is okay. I run over to him, throwing myself into his arms. "Thank God you are okay. I was so worried. Where were you ?"
"Darling I am so sorry... so very sorry". He hugs me so tightly it almost hurts. "We need to talk... alone".
He looks upset, torn... almost broken and I feel my heart start to hammer and a knot growing in my stomach. I nod to Colin and Maddie. "It's okay".
When they have left I look at Bren. "What is it then ? What happened ?"
"I don't know… it isn't an excuse, but I honestly don't remember". He breathes in deeply and takes my hands. "But it seems like I… I did something unforgivable".
