This dude,
Well, where should I start, his height approximately 6”5, he’s styled his black hair with a box cut, his eyes are mesmerizing. I can’t tell the color yet cause the club it self his clouded with different colors like a holi celebration.
His lips, oh goodness, his lips..
“JJ, you’re here early”, Bobby snaps me back from my world of gaze. I shove down the drain the fact that I was shamelessly gawking at ‘that’ mythical creature.
“Yes, I am famished. So I thought I should get here earlier to order something to eat”, I turn back my attention to Bobby.
The Greek god goes and takes a sit the opposite of me and Bobby joins to sit beside me.
The ‘guys’ eyes still glued at me that he could easily bore holes on my forehead.
“Have you ordered already. If not I should let them bring the specialty stuff.”, Bobby states excited,
“Okay, I would love to try it”, I reply and deep down I’m impatiently waiting for Bobby to give us an introduction.
As if reading my thoughts, he dauntlessly states with a deep sexy voice.
“Aren’t you gonna introduce me to this beauty bud?”, tapping Bobby’s shoulder lightly, he said.
“Oh sorry, where are my good manners at. JJ meet JJ and JJ meet JJ”, he states pointing at the both of us who are astound by the names.
“Huh??”, we ask in unison.
“Look, I have done my part. Why don’t the two of you feed each other’s curiosity while I go in and look for food . Fair enough??”, he states with more of a question and walks out towards an exit which looks like the back door.
The two of us being left at the table not saying a word to each other . Maybe we are both waiting for one of us to open the conversation drawer.
“Your wine is here ma’am”, the blonde waitress gets back placing down a bottle of wine and two glasses on table breaking the grave silence , shooting seductive eyes on my namesake.
Well, I guess he’s the women man by his reaction to the waitress. He totally pretended not to notice.
“So,ms Jasper, when did you steal my nickname?”, he questions as he pours wine on both of our glasses.
Oh wow, he knows me.
“I didn’t steal your name . Bobby’s been calling me that since college”, I respond picking my glass of wine mattering a thank you.
“Bobby huh??, you guys seem so close. Should that be a problem ms Jasper?”, he states furrowing his eyebrows together.
“What do you mean??, how do you know me mr J..??”, I question not taking my eyes off him still maintaining my posture.
“Call me Jim.I’m Jim Jackson”, he proudly says stretching his arms for me to take.
I hesitantly reciprocate but finally gave in.
He take my arm and turn the back of my palm to his mouth and brush off a light feathery kiss which send shivers down my spine.
Is he trying to shoot his shot on me??,
Good luck with that namesake.
“It’s nice to finally meet you ms Janet Jasper”, he states before I take my hand back.
“Well, same Mr Jim Jackson”, I respond taking another sip of wine, the both of us staring at each other with so much tension.
He’s trying so hard to intimidate me but am not the easily tamed woman, and neither of us seem to be giving up on that though.
“I didn’t know that you busy women would be found on a night club.” He states while crossing his legs together and lightly shaking his wine glass keenly waiting for my response.
“Why?, am I suppose to be on business conferences even on a Friday night??”, I question stonily .
“Haha, that’s not what I meant”, he chuckled lightly exposing his perfectly dental lined white teeth.
“Ah really now, so what were you insinuating??”, I question as gulped down the whole wine emptying my glass.
“I mean I have never seen you on a club before, only on tv and business conferences”,he states pouring more wine on my glass.
“Interesting then. But to answer your question, I’m only here to check out Bobby’s new club”, I respond and a weird thing call smile slightly creep on my lips.
The wine is starting to take a toll on me I guess.
“You know you’re so beautiful, right?”, he blankly states after watching me keenly for a straight minute.
“Oh, thank you”, I nervously respond since he got me off guard.
“Well, stop smiling like that because you’re making my pants tighter”, he carelessly states while taking a sip of his wine, making me choke a little on my own wine.
What is wrong with this dude?, why would he say that so openly.
His statement leaves me feeling a little hot and disoriented for some reason.
He smiles, satisfied with how uncomfortable he’s finally made me.
“Food is here”, oh thank goodness. I don’t think I have been more happier to hear Bobby’s voice than today.
Jim is still grinning and not taking his eyes off my slightly tipsy, decomposed self.
“Are you feeling okay JJ??”, Bobby questions.
“Yes”
“No”
Bobby gets confused by our response, because both Jim and I answered.
“Not you fucker, am talking about my best friend here”, he tell off Jim while pointing at me.
“Yes am fine, a little tipsy but okay”, I respond to Bobby smiling at him.
“Ah , well then , that’s a good sign . Let’s eat first then we’ll get wasted later”, Bobby states excitedly while brushing his palms together.
“Hey bud let’s eat”.Bobby tells Jim whose still throwing eye daggers at me.
“I said I’m not okay though”, he expresses while smirking.
“The bathroom is that way dude.” Bobby states pointing at the opposite direction from where we were sited.
“Thank you”, Jim states while getting up from his sitting position, immediately his masculine cologne sweeping me off like a tsunami.
Damn, this dude smells good.
We begin to dig in on the food while Jim goes to the bathroom, a couple of minutes later, he walks back and takes his sit and he joins in.
We all engage in random talks, while eating. After we were done the waitress comes back and takes away the leftovers and the utensils used. This time round, she’s more collected and professional, I guess because her boss was present on the table.
Bobby orders a bottle of whiskey and orders me another bottle of wine.
“So Bobby, did your appointment go well?”, I ask remembering he had to go for an appointment earlier.
“Yes it did, that’s where I met Jimmie here. He’s my childhood friend. We grew up in the same neighborhood”, Bobby expresses.
Oh well, I guess he is a rich kid then playing off daddy’s money.
You see, the neighborhood that Bobby grew up on is well known for its richness and wealth. And that makes Jim the son of some business tycoon, mafia or a politician, I guess.
“That’s good to know”, I respond flatly.
“I heard you were engaged to Sam Salvatore then he left you for another woman”, Jim blurted out.
Nice move bro, I really don’t want to talk about that son of a b***h.
“Yes, he did”, I dumbfounded respond while gulping down a whole glass full of wine.
“Sam left you for some other b***h??”, Bobby jolts.
“Yeah, but it’s all good”, I express hiding the pain in my heart.
“Am gonna kill that p***y”, he bellowed.
“ cmon Bobby that’s not necessary. I’m past that already. Besides he is not worth it”, I state trying my best to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall.
I see Bobby drink is whiskey quietly while Jim gives me a non readable expression before he also gulps down his drink.
“Alright, but wherever his pussyass self is should be praying hard that I don’t cross paths with him.” Bobby frustratedly says.
“Okay, can we order shots now”, I states immediately changing the topic .
“9 shots of tequila”, Bobby without wasting any time shouts and in no time they bring it to our table.
I don’t know if it’s the alcohol that was getting on me but Jim’s expression changed after the whole conversation with Sam.
I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I hope I never get to know.
We all take our shots and get lost in the music while enjoying the night, me personally feeling free and ecstatic for the first time in a long period of time.
