The next area affected by the tectonic plates' movement is the plains where Max is located. Because the continent itself is moving, the first step of forming the tornado is completed. The wind shear was when the fast-moving winds roll air below into a horizontal vortex, a spinning tube, above the opposing surface wind. The second step is the updraft. When warmed by the sun, buoyant air near the ground begins to lift a portion of the horizontal vortex into a vertical one. The stronger of the two separated vortex become the core of the tornado until only one left behind and become the eye of the storm.
