Yuna's team

“This is the second floor of the building. This is where the finance and administrative office is located. This floor is mostly for the office worker as all of the business-related paperwork is done here. The cafeteria is also on this floor. Teacher, do you want to have lunch first or finishing up our tour?”

“Let’s finish up the tour first.”

“Okay. There’s nothing more notable from the second floor so let’s move out to the third floor.”

Max is amazed at the scale of the building. Although it seemed to be small from the outside, the inside is full of rooms and separated into several parts. It is efficient, as expected of a big agency.

“The third floor is where the heroes are gathering. This is where we have our office spaces and a large training hall. There’re also recreation spots such as the arcade and entertainment room over there.”

Max uses the beauty gym as his training hall, which is bigger than the training hall of the Rising Star Agency. However, to have it in the same place with the office cut the time needed for travel, and all of their training can be monitored.

“The fourth floor is for the teams where we held our mission briefing and the support team. As for the fifth floor, it is for the executive of the Rising Star Agency, so that I couldn’t bring you up there.”

“It’s fine. This tour is already more than enough. Can we visit your team on the fourth floor?”

“Oh, sure.”

“One of the purposes of me bringing Max here is to explain to him about teams.”

“That’s right. He isn’t from the United Heroes association school, so he doesn’t know about the team.”

“Yes. If he has a team, he might not repeat the same mistake that he has done before.”

“Haha. I heard about it. The rumor has been circulating among newcomer heroes that come in the same batch as him. To be injured on the second day after acquiring his hero license. He is really something else.”

Max couldn’t say anything when Kalina and Yuna are talking to each other. Moreover, they are talking about him as if he wasn’t there with them. So he can only follow them silently and awkwardly.

The fourth floor is spacious, but it has been divided into several colors. Yuna brought them into a purple-colored section which seemed to be her designated color. Entering the room, there are already three other people inside.

“Everyone, guests are coming in. Let’s welcome them.”

Hearing Yuna’s sentence, the three people immediately stood up from their position and walked towards the entrance.

“Everyone, this is my teacher at school, Ms. Kalina. The other boy is the new Air Hero.”

“Nice to meet you. My name is Joey. I’m part of Yuna’s team.” A girl with freckles and messy brown hair greeted Kalina and Max.

“I’m Rika. I’m also part of the team.” Rika is a more energetic young lady with a bubbly personality. It can be seen from how she is playfully scrutinizing Max from top to bottom.

“So, this is the rumored person who is injured on the second day after getting his hero license, huh?”

“Rika, it’s not good to look at someone that way. Not to mention we’ve talked about this before. But, what he did is exactly what a hero is supposed to do. I’m sorry about her and please don’t mind what she said previously. My name is Ken, and I am also a part of the team as Yuna’s backup.”

The last person to introduce himself is a good-looking young man with an ideal body. Not too bulky, yet his muscle is well trained.

“Thanks, everyone, for welcoming us. We’re here to make Air more familiar with the concept of teams. If you could, can you explain what your roles are here?”

“Sure, it wasn’t a problem. I already told you earlier that I am acting as Yuna’s backup. In fact, I am a D-rank hero and recently added to the team to give support for Yuna when she is out on a mission. A hero might act alone but having a backup is essential to prevent an unwanted accident. For example, when Yuna is fighting a villain and has defeated them, I will be the one to put the handcuff on them and secure them until the people from the association arrives.”

Max then nodded since he could perfectly imagine what Ken do on the battlefield.

“You can say that I am the sidekick of the main hero. I can also help her fight the small fry when she handles the boss. Well, something like that.”

Ken perfectly explained his role on the team that Max doesn’t have any questions about his job.

“As for me, I’m in charge of logistics, administration, and other miscellaneous tasks. For example, taking and reporting the mission is done by me. I am also taking care of the other team member. So you can say that I am the joints that keeping the team together.” Joey explained her role to Max, and he understands the importance of having someone like Joey on the team.

Taking and reporting a hero's mission might seem simple, but it also takes time to go to the United Heroes headquarters every time.

“Me, me, I’m next. If they are the muscle of the team, then I am the brain of the group. I am in charge of the intelligence, information, and overview of the battlefield. For example, whenever Yuna meets with a villain on the street, I will be the one looking up the villain’s information on the United Heroes database. I will also be the one responsible for contacting the association and sending them updates on the situation. If there are civilians in the area, I also instructed them on the safe path to escape the area. Don’t forget about me, okay? I’m very, very, very important for the team.”

Rika explained her role to Max, and everyone on Yuna’s team finished explaining their roles. Finally, Max can see what the team is for. For example, if he has someone like Rika on the team, she could look up Crawley’s information as he faces him. It could prevent him from taking a hit from Crawley’s signature move and put up a guard beforehand.

Having someone like Joey could save a lot of time as there are many things to be taken care of, and having a backup like Ken is helpful in many situations. Max can finally see how a big company operates and what a team is all about. He also understands why Kalina brought him here today to the Rising Star Agency and looked at Yuna’s team.
