The offer from the werewolf didn’t come with no strings attached. Firstly, if they accepted the offer, they would be boarding the mutants’ side ship. It was one thing if the mutants would really take over the world as they claimed. However, suppose the heroes' side suddenly comes out even stronger after this disaster and manages to wipe out the mutants. In that case, the three big families will be questioned by them because they are taking side with the enemy. Secondly, the mutants clearly are going to use them as a slave for their money only. Their standing is lower than the mutants, and there is no space to demand anything from the mutants.
