Purpose of training IV

“Alright, since none of you could seem to get the answer, then I will do it for you. The training with the bracelet is to increase efficiency. If you could do this properly, it could become a great weapon for you. Here, let me show you again.” This time, Master Tenshi creates two water bullets with a flick of his hand; the water bullet then hits two rocks not far from them. One of the water bullets hit the rock squarely and causing some parts of the rock to splinter everywhere. The other water bullet doesn’t cause such commotion, but it drilled a hole on the rock to the point it pierces it entirely and comes out clean on the other side. “I created the two water bullets with the same amount of energy. Did you see what happened to the rocks?” It was clear for everyone to see. Just like what Master Tenshi said, it was all about efficiency. The first water bullet wastes the power inside of it and can only cause a surface-level wound. At the same time, the second water bullet managed to fully utilize the power it has to pierce the rock and with some more energy to spare as it penetrates it thoroughly. “If you are in a battle with the enemy, which one is more efficient?” The first water bullet will only cause superficial wounds, while the second water bullet could cause internal injury or even damage the vitals. “Not only that, but you should also train yourself to use the minimum amount of energy to achieve the best result. For example, if you could use 5 points of energy to create a water bullet, why would you spend 10 points on it? Knowing your limit and familiarizing yourself with what you can do with the amount of energy you have is the purpose of this training. All in all, if you could master all four aspects of the training that I told you about earlier, I am confident that you will become a top-ranked hero in no time. In fact, when you walk out from this place, you could even beat some B-rank villain with no trouble.” After hearing Master Tenshi's explanation, the spirit in the six people is lit ablaze. After all, they know why they are doing the training and the purpose behind it. Knowing the reason why you are doing something and not knowing it is entirely two different things. If you don’t know the reason why you are doing something, you may do it half-heartedly. “Alright, let’s end the training here for today. I want you to write a training plan that you think will be suitable for your future growth. I also hope that you could reflect on the things that you learn today. Okay, you’re all dismissed.” That night, everyone is staying in their tent and making a self-evaluation paper. Max is in the same situation as he tried to remember all the things that Master Tenshi said today. “The things that I wanted to achieve right now is, getting stronger. Yes, that’s it. However, if I looked at it again, I wanted to understand the grey world that I experienced. Could Master Tenshi know something about it? I guess there’s no point in worrying about it and try to ask Master Tenshi. After all, he is knowledgeable enough and might be able to tell me. Even if he doesn’t know, at least I have tried. Even big sis Kalina couldn’t tell me what is the grey world that I experienced. I hope Master Tenshi could clear my doubt. I believe my power could increase tremendously if I understand the real identity of the grey world. Oh right, I remember Master Tenshi even used two different elements at the same time. Fire and water, I wonder if he could tell me the secret behind it or the principle. Maybe I could get stronger too if I know how it works.” The next day, everyone has a one-on-one meeting with Master Tenshi before the training starts. During the meeting, he discussed and reviewed each person's personal reflection. Max's turn is the last one, and finally, it arrived. When he handed over the paper that he wrote last night, Master Tenshi looked at it while frowning. “So, I think that the direction I should grow my power is by understanding that grey world. I think if I can figure out what that power is, I can become stronger.” Looking at Master Tenshi’s expression, Max can see that he isn’t looking really good. As if he is thinking hard about what to do with Max. Max, who describes what he is thinking earlier, also stops and doesn’t say anything more. “Max, I have a question for you. Why do you become a hero?” Suddenly being asked in a serious tone by Master Tenshi, Max is taken quite aback. He also doesn’t understand why Master Tenshi is suddenly asking this kind of question to him. However, since Master Tenshi asked him, he needed to give him an answer. “Truthfully, I want to become a hero because of my parents. When my parents have passed away, I seemed to have lost purpose in life about what I want to do and who I want to be. But then, I realized that even when my parents are not here, I still want to become a hero. Not for revenge or something like that. I just like being a hero.” Looking at Max’s clear eyes and with no hesitation when he answered, Master Tenshi, nodded his head. He remembers something unpleasant from the past, but he wanted to believe that Max won’t do something like that and disappoint him. “If that’s the case, can I talk about more something more sensitive?” “Something more sensitive?” “It’s about the incident where you lost your parents.” Hearing that, Max feels a bit surprised. Why does Master Tenshi suddenly bring up the incident? However, since he already said that, it means that there is something that he wanted to say.
