Crawley IV

1108 Words
Max has faced Yann and Bonio, which is stronger than Crawley in terms of rank, but he feels that Crawley is stronger than any of the two. That is because of the pressure that Crawley is emitting right now is even more vicious than anyone that Max has faced. Yann and Bonio are clearly a villain, but he never found out what kind of crime they have committed until now. As for the feeling he has right now when facing Crawley in front of him, it is the pressure that is impossible to have unless he has a fight on countless battles and comes out on top by standing over mountains of corpses. To put it in simple words, the pressure that Crawley is emitting is like a blood-thirsty murderer. In comparison, Yann and Bonio didn’t have this aura around them that comes after killing many people. Murderous aura or even bloodlust, Max didn’t know, but one thing he knows for sure that he is in a dangerous situation. If Thea isn’t there right now, Max's first choice will be to run away since his life is at risk now. However, there is a person that needed to be saved, so he needs to think twice before running away. Not to mention he isn’t completely sure that he could run away from Crawley as lightning is even faster than the wind. “Thunder cage!” Crawley unleashes his move, and immediately, a large cage made of lightning enveloped the area. The alley is wholly covered by lightning, and Max couldn’t even escape since it appeared instantly, trapping him and Crawley inside. Crawley put up a running pose as he is going to charge forward. In the next instance, he disappeared from Max’s view and appeared again, only one meter in front of him. An enormous fist instantly covered Max’s eye as it was a direct punch unleashed by Crawley. He didn’t have enough time to dodge, so he has taken a direct hit from the attack, and his body immediately flew backward a few meters and slammed into the wall of the thunder cage. “UAAARRGGH!” Max can feel unimaginable pain from his head upon being hit by Crawley, and his whole body also feels the electricity from the thunder cage constantly making him feel numb all over his limbs. One attack is all it takes for Crawley to sends Max into the border of life and death. The difference in level mattered, but more importantly, Crawley is ruthless enough to aim for Max’s life on the first attack directly. Crawley then sends his right hand forward and makes a grasping motion as the thunder cage followed his command. It constricts into a smaller enclosure, and in the end, it is thoroughly trapping Max’s body in place. Max can feel as if his body is being pressed down with a mountain as he couldn’t move his body at all. Max already can see death calling for him as the situation right now is already hopeless. “Is this really how I die? My only regret right now is that I couldn’t save Thea.” Crawley is going to finish Max off with this move as Max can feel that the thunder cage is gradually becoming stronger as if it is going to crush his body into pieces. His bone and flesh are already screaming in pain from this, but there’s a more pressing issue. He is finding a way to survive. Max doesn’t want to believe that he will die here today. In his desperation, a miracle seemed to happen once again. This has happened before when Max faces Bonio, and this ability also manifests at the point of life and death. The world suddenly turned into a wonderful one with a lot of colors everywhere. Last time, Max controlled the colorless one and sent it like a blade to ends Bonio’s life. Right now, he didn’t know he could do it again, but he needs to try it regardless. The colorless orbs floating in the air are everywhere, and Max can see that the smallest one of them entered Crawley’s body, and at the same time, he can feel the existence of the colorless orbs. The colorless orbs made their way into Crawley’s lung, and at the same time, Max thinks of an unimaginable way to survive. “Since I can control the colorless orbs, if I ask it to run amok on Crawley’s lung, I might be able to survive and disturb his attack. So, colorless orbs, please go wild and help me out!” With the order from his thoughts, the colorless orbs inside Crawley’s lung are acting like a crab that is being dropped into a pot of boiling water. It immediately jumped around as if it exploded. “What? *Cough*.” Crawley can feel that his chest is hurting, especially on the lungs, as if something burst out from the inside. Crawley’s breathing becomes haggard to the point that he coughed out blood as he has received internal injury. “You, what did you do?” Max himself didn’t know what is going on, but he keeps on commanding the colorless orbs to keep creating havoc inside Crawley’s body. As time goes by, the thunder cage that is constricting him becomes weaker, and so does Crawley. Crawley keeps on coughing out blood from his mouth until he finally dropped down to the ground and not moving again even an inch. At that time, the thunder cage on Max’s body dissipated into thin air. Max is the winner of this exchange as he managed to survive, but he is in no better condition. His body is hurting all over, and there’s no part that is not injured. Just like Crawley, Max couldn’t even move his body as he feels powerless. He didn’t know what would happen now, but at least he managed to save Thea. He looked over to found her still situated in the middle of the garbage bags without being harmed. Then, finally, he heard the police siren from afar and could let out a breath of relief as he heard footsteps incoming. “Sir, they are here!” As he notices that the people coming are there to help them, Max’s consciousness fades away.
