Master Tenshi's training III

As if finding a new clue after watching Elica, Max has a new conjecture.

“So, just like Elica’s ice power, I could use my power to hold the balloon to a standstill first. However, if that’s the case, then I should be using my power to do two things simultaneously. The first thing that needed to be done is to hold the balloon in place, and the second thing is to fill it with air.”

Although Max seemed to understand what he has to do to fill up the balloon, reality and imagination are different. Asking the wind to push something away is as easy as breathing can be. Even with his breath, Max could push something away. However, holding things in place isn’t something so simple.

Object in the real world is three-dimensional. This means, if Max wants to use the wind to hold the balloon still in place, he needs not only to push the object in one direction, but he needs to provide current from all sides to keep the balloon in place.

In fact, Max used to play with his power like this. For example, he was moving books from the table towards him. However, he never really tried to hold still something in the air. Hands-on experience is the best teacher, so Max directly attempted to make the inflated balloon stay still in the air.

Max thought that it is going to be easy, but it’s more complicated than he thinks. At first, he pushed the wind from two sides, like making a pincer attack with a chopstick. However, the balloon immediately jolted out to the sides where he isn’t controlling the wind in.

After the first failed attempt, Max now knows that he should probably use the wind to hold the balloon still from all directions. This time, from 360 degrees around the balloon, Max controlled the wind carefully.

There is a sign of success. However, the balloon isn’t stable at all. Just like a ply of tissue in front of a fan, it keeps on moving unstably. If it’s like this, not to mention filling up the balloon with air, just keeping it stable will be hard to do.

The only good news from this is that it is saying that Max is in the right direction. If he could keep the balloon stable on his hand, filling it with air will be the next thing he should do. Not to mention, looking around at the other’s progress, it seemed that he is the one that is closer to success.

The moment Max managed to make the balloon stand in the air, Master Tenshi's eyes opened for a bit. Looking at the paper in his hand, he realized that it was something that should be expected.

“It said that he has A-rank sensitivity. At least, he isn’t completely stupid. However, there’s a hunch that he is similar to me. should I try to look at his matches?”

Master Tenshi then took out his phone and started to look at Max’s match while the person in attention is busy trying to hold the balloon to stand still.

“Come on, stand still, don’t move.”

As if reciting a mantra, Max uses his concentration to make the balloon stand still in place but always failed. After failing a few times, Max realized where the problem is. He can make the balloon standstill, but it was only for friction of seconds. After that, the balloon will go awry again. He realized that to keep the balloon standstill, he needs to use a lot of concentration. By commanding the wind to hold the balloon from all sides, just like getting used to moving eight hands at the same time while he has trouble even moving both hands simultaneously.

Max is one of the people who fare better alongside Elica. As for Iki and Giovanni, they always end up damaging the balloon no matter what they tried to do. If the balloon is damaged, there’s no way that they could fill it up as there’re leaks everywhere. Kieran, on the other hand, hasn’t started at all. He falls into deep thinking as if he is trying to understand something vague, like catching the sound.

Alan, who has a different set of training than the five, also struggled. No matter how hard he tried to control his transformation, it is too hard just to transform his pinky. His palm and arms followed unconsciously as if it was a natural process. What he is experiencing right now is like a person who used to write using his right hand, being asked to write perfectly using his left hand. It is a weird experience for him.

“Alright, everyone. Let’s stop the training here for now. We should go back and prepare food for dinner.”

When Master Tenshi said that, the group realized that they must have been training there for hours. It is hard to notice the time since they are entirely focused on training. Not to mention that the sky above them is just a fake one since the place they are inside now is underground.

Moving back to the cabin, Master Tenshi suddenly makes another surprising announcement.

“Several animals are living around here. Your task is to catch them as they will be the ingredients for our dinner. However, I want you to catch them without using your ability. There are rabbits, chickens, fish, and many other animals. Anyone who got caught cheating won’t get any food.”

“Is this training camp suddenly turn into a survival game?”

“Don’t ask around too much and just go to catch the animal. Do you want to eat only rice for dinner?”

After saying that, Master Tenshi move to another place to prepare the rice for their meal.

“Okay, I guess it’s not a bad thing to move around the place to familiarize ourselves with the surroundings too.”

Iki has several experiences going out to camp with his family, so something like this isn’t strange. He even grabbed Max and Alan by putting his hand on their shoulder and walk away from the cabin.

“Let’s go over there! I think I saw something moving there. It must be the rabbits.”

While the trio from the humble background has no problem adapting to the new situation, it is different from the rich trio. Even if they go camping, it will be glamourous camping or glamping, at least. They were accompanied by maids and servants where they don’t have to worry about finding food.

However, as they are heroes who have worked alone on missions, they can also adapt to the situation.

“Since those three are hunting food over there, shall we go the other way around?”

The smiling Kieran asked while Giovanni nods. Elica didn’t answer, but when the two men walked away, she quietly followed behind them. Looking at the action of the six teenagers, Master Tenshi only smiled and shook his head.
