Max vs Heinrich

1143 Words
For most people, while they are on the air, they will immediately go into panic since they lost their foothold. So this move that Max executes also won’t work if the opponent uses a wind-element ability like him. However, if he launches him upwards, he will be able to maneuver and move even if he is flying in the air. As for Heinrich, it shows how he is able to become an honor student from the academy. He didn’t panic at all, and taking advantage of his abundant B-rank energy, he raises a water sphere to shield himself. If Max faces someone with D-rank energy, they will think twice before executing a move since their energy is limited. Heinrich, however, is a monster with a lot of energy, so he could continuously unleash one skill after the other without worrying about his energy runs out. Max’s wind bullet couldn’t penetrate the water sphere as the wind bullet can be said to be a fundamental ability without much power behind it if it is used against other D-rank heroes. Of course, it is lethal to be used against ordinary people or against other heroes who let their guard down, but it isn’t something that could break their defense if they put up their guard. After failing his first attack, Max used the window before Heinrich’s body landed on the ground to get some distance away from him. This time, Max is going to launch another wind bullet, but he put more power into it. If the wind bullet from earlier can be said to be a level 1 move. This time, the wind bullet he shoots will be one or two-level higher, depend on how much time he has in channeling more power to it. This is also how the wind bullet can basically change into wind cannon, just the same basic move but with more power and lethality. Heinrich also saw that Max is already preparing for the attack. When he landed, he didn’t cancel the water shield. He runs forward with the shield as he shoots water bullets towards Max, trying to cancel his channeling attack. To be honest, Max feels that Heinrich isn’t overpowering like the enemies that Max has faced before, nor is he fast to the point that Max couldn’t react. However, he feels that it is harder to face Heinrich than when he fights Yann and Bonio. Heinrich doesn’t have any point that stood out, but he doesn’t have any weakness either. On the contrary, his basic is very solid since he comes from the academy and graduates as a top student, and he indeed shows his worth right now. He took advantage of his abundant energy on top of his solid knowledge, and with more experience, he can be said to be the most all-rounded and textbook hero. Zero mistakes, one hundred percent mission success. Max sees that the water bullet is heading towards him. He doesn’t have any choice but to launch the wind bullet in retaliation and stopped putting more power into it. Since the wind bullet that Max uses has more energy on it, the water bullet integrates into the air as they cross paths. It finally reached Heinrich’s water shield, and it breaks like a bubble popped. Heinrich, however, doesn’t suffer any damage and still moving forward towards Max. This time, to not repeat the same experience of being launched into the air, Heinrich moved in a zig-zag pattern while keep on throwing water bullets at Max. Since the arena isn’t that big, there’s no place for Max to run. Instead, he will need to think of a countermeasure against Heinrich that is approaching. Since a concentrated attack like the wind bullet doesn’t work, Max is going for a wider area of attack. Max then launched a wind blade towards Heinrich. A wind blade is just like a mini typhoon that is thrown horizontally. With sharp edges that come from spinning wind, it could cut anything it comes into contact with. Heinrich saw the attack coming, and this time, he propels himself into the air three meters high to dodge the attack. It seemed that he got the idea from the move that Max used earlier to send his body upwards and use it as a dodging move. With that, Max just wasted his energy on an attack that could be dodged easily. It can be said that Max’s energy is at 80% while Heinrich still at 90-95%. Without anything change, Max will lose when he runs out of fuel. Max needed to find a breakthrough point, but Heinrich's performance is stable. As he landed from his earlier jump, Heinrich is now aiming at Max again. This time, Heinrich summoned two long water blades to cover his hand as he prepares to go close combat with Max. Seeing that, Max knows that there will be no way for him to win if he keeps up with this strategy. A long-range attack definitely isn’t working against Heinrich. He will need to go close-range battle with him to determine the winner of this match. Max didn’t bother to hide his ability this time and summoned the two wind gauntlets that he calls super drill. Heinrich is a bit surprised when he saw that Max didn’t retreat, and he also has skills for close combat. The next scene is very intense as Max’s wind gauntlet meets with the water blade. The clashing sound of metals can be heard, although the things that are contesting against each other right now aren’t made from solid objects. The whirling wind on Max’s gauntlet is chipping away the water blade as drops of water splashed everywhere around the area. However, that’s as far as Max’s gauntlet goes. The end of the blade is easier to disperse, but getting closer to Heinrich, the water blade got denser and harder to break. Right when Max is going to push the gauntlet with both hands, Heinrich launched a kick since although his hands are entangled with Max, his leg is free. Heinrich totally covers the basics in close combat as he tried to take advantage of every little chance. Max couldn’t see the attack coming, but he can sense it due to his high sensitivity. Since there’s no way to defend using his hand, he tried to block it with his leg too. However, the power behind it isn’t something that he can shrug off easily as his foot feels numb after successfully stopping it.
