Max still feels a bit conflicted, but he more or less understands what Kalina is trying to say. Right or wrong, it is for Max himself to decide. The laws and society are there to set up what the majority thinks is correct, but you shall not be using them as your own standard. If you think that killing villains is wrong, then it is wrong. If you think that killing villains is right, then it is right. If you killed an innocent and think that you did wrong, then you should make amends to it either by letting the law punish you or doing anything in your power to compensate. If you think that killing an innocent is right, although you could get away with it and still become a hero, many people will think that you are wrong based on the law even though you think that you did nothing wrong.
