"Do these by any chance....look familiar to you?"

"You see....the thing is....i...was....uhm---"

"Shouldn't you guys teach your sister how to be tidy?"

"What?"

"How dare she leave her shoes just anywhere in my bedroom! next time I definitely won't let this slide"

He threw the shoes towards me which I quickly caught in mid air, brushing against my shoulder as he walked out the front door. I sighed in relief, massaging my temple with my fingers in frustration. What the hell is my life slowly becoming?

I dashed to my room placing the shoes on a shoe rack underneath the wardrobe, running back out I met the maid which I was already acquainted with tidying the living room, immediately she saw me she ran up to me smiling shyly.

"Good morning sir Alexander"

"I told you to just call me Alex, what's your name anyway?"

She looked downwards taking her lips in, suppressing her smile "I'm Amy Sir"

"Okay, I'll talk to you later, I'm kind of in a hurry now"

I turned to leave when she grabbed hold of my hand, quickly letting go when she realized what she had done.

"I'm so..rry sir, its just that your sister left me a message for you, she asked me to let you know she'll find her way to school herself, she already left hours ago so don't bother looking for her"

"Oh s**t! I completely forgot I told her I was gonna take her to school, thanks Amy"

She blushed "It's nothing at all"

I smiled striding past her out of the house, where I met Brain standing beside the bike he almost ran me over in with a smirk on his annoying face, sending him and his stupid bike a scornful glare i walked through the already opened gate, standing by the road side in hopes of getting a cab soon.

As I impatiently waited, Brain drove right past me at full speed still having that smirk on his face which made me feel like punching him in the guts, retraining myself I plugged one of my earphones in my ear walking down the road.

"Hey leech!!!"

I stopped in my tracks, turning around in surprise to see Brain without his helmet on, sitting on his bike a bit far away from me with a hand on his jaw.

"What do you want?" I asked with a stern face

He cleared his throat avoiding my gaze "Get in"

"What?"

"Are you deaf? I said get in" he said looking flustered

"No I'm good, I'll just take a cab or walk to school, thanks anyway"

"Are you crazy? I'm asking you to get in, where exactly do you know the school is that you're walking or taking a cab to?"

I stroked my chin in thoughts, he was damn right I didn't know where the school was. s**t! I feel so stupid right now.

"You're right but why are you suddenly being nice to me? its making me scared"

"Who said I'm being nice? I'm doing this because my mom asked me to, but if you prefer walking then suit yourself"

Looking upset he stepped on it driving away. instantly feeling regret for not just getting on his bike I continued walking down the road still not having any luck in getting a cab.

I sighed looking downwards when a bike drove in front of me, blinded by the sunlight I strained my eyes taken aback by the sight of Brian looking even more upset, with a deep frown on his face.

"Will you just get in! why are you so f*****g stubborn!"

"You came back?"

"I'm running more late than usual, hurry and get your ass here"

Without further delay, I climbed up his bike, sitting at the edge not wanting to mistakingly make skin contact with him.

"Take this" he said extending his helmet to me from behind.

Just as my hand got close to the helmet he grabbed hold of it pulling me to him, having my chest pressed tightly against his back. Heat instantly filled my body, my heart pounding as I tried to move backwards even if its just a little bit away from him but he held my hand tightly restricting my movement.

"You should hold on tightly to me, if you don't want to end up falling off, believe me its more painful than you can ever imagine"

Feeling reluctant i wrapped my hands tightly around his rock hard abdomen, my body giving me an extremely difficult time in fighting against shameful thoughts that rushed into my mind as i Inhaled his strong scent, which made memories of last night keep replaying in my head no matter how hard I tried to block them out.

He immediately drove off, speeding like a maniac which made me hold him even tighter in fear.

"Hey leech! how're you doing back there?"

"Riding this fast isn't safe you know?"

"Why are you having a hard time? because this is exactly how I love it"

"Just so you know, my name isn't leech, when will you stop calling me that! I have a f*****g name"

"Maybe......uh.......never! Leech suits you perfectly well, cause you guys are leeching off my family, get it?"

I scoffed angrily letting go of him "I knew your mister nice guy mask would soon fade away, heartless jerk!"

"Hey! is that why you let go of me! You'll fall off and die! don't say I didn't warn you!"

"I'd rather fall off and die!"

"As you wish"

"What?"

He grinned increasing his speed which mercilessly tore through the streets, civilians screaming in fear at his outrageous speed which instilled fear in me.

"You bastard stop now!!!! I want to get down!"

"No, you said you wanted to fall off and die, all I'm doing is making your wish come true"

Feeling like I was gonna get flung off any second now, i screamed quickly wrapping my hands around, tightly shutting my eyes. Immediately the speed of the bike went back to normal, followed with a round of uncontrollable laughter from him.

"You lunatic!!!!!!" I screamed hitting him all from behind

"Argh!!!!! Stop hitting me! or we'll both die!"

Seeing as he was no longer concentrating on the road I had no choice but to stop, folding my hands across my chest.

"Wear this, I'm serious this time" he said extending his helmet to me for the second time today

I rolled my eyes still pissed off as i snatched it from him, checking out the closed dark shaded helmet which completely covered my head on wearing it.

"You know you have quite the temper, my poor back aches all over" he said whining

"You're a completely nutjob! a total jerk ass! was this your plan all along? I knew something was weird about your being nice all of a sudden"

He chuckled "Is that how unbelievable my being nice sounds?"

"Yes because you're aren't nice, not even one bit"

"Is that what you really think?" he asked sounding sober

"Yes" I replied bluntly

He sighed as silence engulfed between us, not saying a word more throughout, which made me anxious.

Driving into the school compound which I knew due to its name boldly written at the entrance, i noticed all eyes were on us along with a lot of murmurings, every single person we drove past instantly had their eyes glued to us which made me feel uneasy.

"Just ignore them" he said as though he read my mind

"Why are they looking at us like that? are you some mister popular or what?"

"Isn't that obvious but the attention is a bit extra today, they're probably just curious to know who my bride is"

"Bride? wait! So you mean they think I'm your bride!"

"Probably, especially since you're wearing my helmet"

"Wow! I can't believe this is the kind of attention my pumpkin will be getting from now on, she'll be so happy" I said smiling sheepishly

"What about you?"

"What?"

"How'd you feel if you were the one getting all this attention?"

For some reason his question rendered me speechlessly in thoughts until we got in front of a building where he parked his bike. As I got down taking off his helmet, all eyes including his were fixated on me, the murmuring grew even louder, people expressing surprise on seeing I wasn't a woman but a man.

I sighed "Honestly, I don't like attention at all, its not my thing at all, I just want to live peacefully with the ones I love" I said handing his helmet over to him.

I caught a glimpse of sadness in his eyes as he took the helmet from me, driving away before i could even thank him for the ride. Puzzled I stood rooted to that spot for a few minutes, later walking into the building where I saw countless staircases and other buildings, just as I was beginning to feel lost, I felt my sister wrap her hands around my eyes.

"Guess who it is?"

"Should I pretend not to know and play along or......"

She chortled unwrapping her hands, giggling cutely "Oppa! what took you so long? I had to leave without you"

"Sorry, it won't happen again"

"I heard Brian was just here and he...uh....personally gave you a ride"

"Yes, I guess he isn't as bad as I thought but I think I might have hurt his feelings"

"His feelings? how?"

"I don't know exactly what I said, but I think I said something I shouldn't have, I'll have to apologize to him when I see him next just to be sure we're good"

"Okay" she said looking downcast

"What's wrong?"

She sighed "I really wished Brian and I would come to school together today but I guessed I wished for too much"

"But....you were the one who left him behind"

"I know, only because I thought he wasn't gonna come"

"Cheer up Ali, its his loss, he missed his opportunity to ride with a beautiful girl" I said stroking her cheek

She smiled "You're right Lexxy, its his loss!"

"So where exactly are we receiving lectures? I know I'm already late" I said looking around in confusion

"I already got our paper works done and reserved a seat for you, let's go the next class is about to start"

"Okay, Thanks pumpkin"

She smiled as we walked hand in hand to class, immediately I stepped in my gaze met that of Brains who quickly broke off his gaze keeping a straight face.

"Gosh! he must be really mad, what the hell could I have possibly said?" I exclaimed feeling distressed

"To who? Brian?"

"Yes"

"I guess you'd better hurry up with that apology thing"

"Tell me something I don't already know" I said in a whisper

She chuckled, taking me to the so called reserved seat which was directly in front of Brian's.

As much as I wanted to stay far away from him right now, that was the only vacant seat in the class, left without a choice I sat down staring straight ahead fighting the urge to glance towards him.

Alison who kept staring at him while receiving glares from jealous female course mates also made things even harder for me, trying to keep my composure I put my entire focus on the lectures we were receiving until the bell rang for what I believe was break time.

Alison stood to her feet winking at me, deliberately dragging a few of her new made friends along with her as she left the class, soon after the class was empty with just me and Brain, who stood up about to also leave when I quickly held on to his hand.

"Brian wait!"

"Who said you could speak to me in class? or hold my hand?" he asked glaring at me

I slowly let go of him "Then I'll quickly get this over with, I'm sorry"

He looked away "For what?"

"I don't know but can you just stop being mad at me"

"Who said I was mad at you?"

"Stop answering my questions with questions? I know you're mad at me, like its obvious, I don't know what I said exactly, but please don't take it to heart"

"Fine I admit but I'm not forgiving you so easily"

"What? what else do you want?"

"After school today, you're gonna accompany me somewhere, don't let it get to your head, its simply work related"

I furrowed my brows "What kind of work?"

"You'll know when we get there, dress decently, I don't want people thinking you're my slave or something"

Realization suddenly hit me "s**t! the thing is....I would have loved to go with you but can you make it tomorrow i already have plans and---"

"Then forget it" he said bluntly turning his back on me.

"Fine! I'll go okay?"

"You'd better" he said walking out of the class

With guilt written all over it I took out my phone sending mark a long ass apology message on how we can't meet today like I promised, making it the very first time I had ever broken my promise.
