“I will be your partner!” That’s how the conversation has started before I could make any refusal and settle things for good to play the one-woman army character, everyone including Sean agreed with the idea of some three-year-old baby.
“Luckily we have a baby bridal suit too!” Miranda added against my favour, making me want to shout that ‘I am the bride, let me steal the show!’ but then a very calm part of by brain, just returned from hibernation told me that having an add on will give me a head start for confidence.
“I have a feeling Sir Jitesh is not going to be pleased with this arc of developing relationships.” Joey spoke from the back, already searching for the right needle to make a few alterations for Red’s to be worn white frock.
Initially I did plan on inviting Jamie to walk me down the aisle, but then for political safety I quit that option as it may lead to some wrongful connection display in front of who knows how many people.
And Joey’s mention of Jitesh invoked my interest even more to let Red walk down with me, at this I will love to see Jitesh’s reaction on his belief of not crossing the line. “I am loving the idea!”
“My love, you need to keep your spirits up!” Miranda spoke and I immediately regretted my previous declaration when I saw Red giving me a toothy grin, as if I’ve just gifted the barbie world house set to her.
I wondered Fifeteen was dealing with the scandal of Deepthi, and if my family got my letters or not. Are they trying to contact me? Kriag hasn’t mentioned about any such things, and media personnel’s waiting outside the gates okay no we're not doing the gates right.
“Hey Miranda, I still think that my hair should be–” I was cut off before I could speak. “Darling if one more time I hear you talking about your hair I'm gonna cut your head. You're going to be inside a wheel.”
Understanding her point about the hair I tuned into a Wellness podcast I have been trying to listen since very long time as Joey and Miranda started dolling up Red who is going to accompany me. Time passed by in a blur and I didn't realise my nerves knots were back as I waited for me to be escorted to the hall where my fate laid in the hands of a priest.
I wished Gabriel would have at least once come and greeted me before the actual ceremony but seems like being the king of the country he really is busy. The only thing which was keeping me at ease right now was I'm going to get my rank finally up and it's definitely going to be higher than the Prime Minister of their country, Olivia bills.

Funnily my hands couldn’t reach to Red’s accurately, but we still managed to walk down the aisle after the nerve wrecking announcement; Ms Vhrea Destiny Ashtrick, to be wife of the King of Nicoman State, the bride of this marvellous evening to be entering!
As I saw the hall decorated in regal cream from the flowers arranged in the portrayal of the eagle seal of Nicoman, to my path being draped in a light pink carpet and my heart drummed loud enough to block the world’s noise for a second.
Then everything returned, and I saw faces I couldn’t recognise, a place filled with complete strangers, making my fear crawl back of how I am going to face my new life here, even though temporary.
As I walked down, I heard a few gasps of shocks from the attendees, most of them will not know who I am, and probably who knew, were just shocked by the fact that a girl from another nation was being their Queen, and there were a few relentless faces I saw through my transparent veil, which was ascended till my toes: sweeping the already sparkling clean carpet.
They may not know me, but I could smell the fear Gabriel was trying to instil in them. I was an unknown piece of move he had put on the frontline, and it won’t be easier to tackle my rights.
“Real is crying.” Red shouted tin tiny and pulled the end of my veil, while I concentrated on how not to lose my balance. I watched the podium where Gabriel stood, well-groomed in his all-time seasoned black tuxedo, with his hair neatly done to the left side, making him look a lot sexier and mature headed.
His gaze didn’t leave mine until I reached him, and I could almost sense Sean about to shout something funny, being the groom’s man, while Gabriel walked up to me with charisma exuding his grey eyes.
“Careful, the gloves aren’t the right fit.” I warned him before he could end up making a fool out of me or himself. I could see a smile being formed on his face, not expecting this to be a greeting message.
Smartly Red had left my hand and walked to where Sean was standing at, where he immediately took her into his arms and gave a small peck on her cheeks.
“You look spectacular Vhrea.” The edgy fluids in my body calmed down knowing that my to be husband is someone I have really been in love with once upon a time, and is a man of too much virtue that he wouldn’t mess up something like a marriage.
So, if anything happens here then it is all on me. That’s scary.
“You don’t look so bad yourself.” I complimented back, which didn’t do much of justice to what he had to offer; nor the physical lucidity his perfectly presented body neither the amount of power he holds.
“I like that your face is covered.” He spoke as he took my hand in his and walked us towards the centre of the attention. “Don’t be such an ass Gabriel. I am free will, and I only have it on because it looked lovely.”
“No, my dear wife, what I mean is I don’t want people present here to see your true reactions. Don’t appear too shocked to see Mrs Raikar’s presence.”
Even though I was warned, and a fair alarm was given I gave out a little gasp, and my eyes searched for the person in question. “On the left side.” Gabriel guided, and when my eyes fell on the location my heart dropped.
Why was Lucas Judas present here? I know Gabriel and him were friends but isn’t it too unfair on my part that Gabriel was so inconsiderate of my feelings.
“Why is Lucas here?” I asked. He placed his hand on the low of my back, and made a smooth circle with his thumb, very slowly, “Not my guest.” His reply only hinted that someone of more power than him, which meant Tiara Raikar, has invited him here.
Why?
“So, are you prepared with the speech? How long is it?” Gabriel enquired and I was amazed at his audacity to even ask for something like this, “Very ready! It has only two words. I do!”
