rise of ashes

“Did you find out what type of scrunchie Rani Ma is trying to elongate this time?” I asked Jitesh, being careful about my treading, as it was almost time for the council heads to arrive in. “Recently she became the major shareholder at HEREDITY a pharmaceutical public company in Nainital,” Jitesh’s explanation didn’t seem like he was satisfied with this development. “And after some digging it seems that HEREDITY has major branches at Kolkata Port, and Pondicherry. If you understand it well there seems to be angle of drugs which eventually implies trying to gain passage to underworld.” As much as I didn’t want to agree with what he was wanting me to believe, Jitesh had his history with the underworlds working, for a period of even being a part of it, so it should be more deem able of me to go with his hypnosis – as he always says, the first route to power is being beside the greatest enemy of power. “Does she want to bring it to replace our pharma scene?” I asked, “I am not really able to put the pieces together to what she wants.” Jitesh answered my empty question. “And it even seems like she is going after Vansh Raj. But mostly she is busy taking care of baby Aishwarya’s skating competitions.” I nodded, not liking anything about the conversation at all. I have been too busy to take on my responsibilities of controlling things and trying to understand them, and then implementing preventive measures to go on a track of development, and not become another North Korea or Syria, that my day-to-day life has completely gone under the non-existing rock bed at the Marina Trench. “What exactly does she want?” I questioned to the round table I was seated at, which was a strategic replacement to the long rectangular table used for discussion in this war room. When here, everyone’s presence and suggestions should equally matter unlike the court house where I make final decisions sitting on my throne of vigour and competence. “Who wants what My dear Majesty?” Olivia asked entering inside the room with a bright smile and an olive-green hand bag – probably carrying a .30 rifle – although she is someone who wins wars with words as her deadliest weapons, the best person out to put on in front of the public. One of theirs – straight from the slums and streets – which makes it easy for the general public to confide in her, her love for status and the position besides me i.e., having my surname, and the feministic ambition to make Nicoman State stand out in public makes me want to keep her the forever prime minister of my country. “My wife wants a small wedding.” I replied to her question, as Jitesh put on his ever-perfect poker face showing no ounce of any information he could’ve probably be knowing about the chipmunks of Siberia immigrating to North America to meet Alvin and Chipmunks. “Attention is we need, not a willow flower party. Let me talk to her.” She replied and bend to air kiss me on the right cheek only – a mark of close and respectable relationship between the country rulers she says – and took her seat opposite to mine on the table, all the while her rubber shoes squeaking the hell out of the rodents. “She doesn’t need to know. And I don’t see your apprentice.” She laughed at my mention of her all-in-one chauffer Mr Yuta the handsome. “He is off on a vacation to Bora Bora. How exciting.” Yes. A flat-out exciting lie. “Did I already say you that I didn’t like your Destiny.” She spoke crossing her legs gracefully and torturing the iPad in front of her to blink white. “I am flattered to have you concerned about me. But nobody can help me change it.” I knew very well which Destiny she was talking about. “Oh, silly me! I was talking about Vhrea Destiny Ashtrick. I am not sure why you’ve taken too much measures to marry her, of course money and power is an undeniable factor, but I don’t see her sticking around for much.” Well, she isn’t going to actually. But that news can be maintained inside the NASA top secret coded labs for now. “If you are talking this based on age, experience and maturity, then perhaps I shall warn you that Vhrea is in hibernation right now and it is not a good choice to see her unleashing her power, use her brain and just be the Vhrea Destiny Ashtrick.” “You speak so great of her.” The bitterness in her tone bought a smile on my face. It’s not like I am planning to pit these two power houses against each other but seeing them being jealous of each other for fancied hypothetical reasons was too much fun to not miss. That reminded me of how stupidly impressive Vhrea looked while demanding for a clearance power above Olivia. Now, who is going to break the news to her that she has nothing to fear of Olivia because the power a Queen can hold is comparably equal to mine, and she doesn’t need to know that, too. “I’ve seen her rise from a bottomless pit. So, I definitely know how much she can make you and destroy you too.”
