The alley felt hotter as we walked towards something labelled Emergency, on a bed rested Rashmi with a glucose bottle stripped to her left hand and her head bandaged on the right side. She was hurt.
My legs stiffened and glued to the spot and I was unable to move forward. All this time I've been only worrying about what information they could take away from Rashmi about me, but not once did I think of her safety. What if they would've killed and sent her head to me?
"Mam. Why did you come?" Rashmi asked in a little voice from her bed, trying to get up which Emmet forbid; "Be sleeping." She commanded.
Emmet; why was she everywhere now–a–days? One time is fate, twice is coincidence: is it really?
"How did you bring Rashmi here?" I accused Emmet instead of replying to Rashmi. "An ambulance bought her here. I was on duty since morning. Why am I even explaining to you?"
Quick realization I had. Looking at Rashmi a lump of guilt formed in my throat.
"You are fired." I declared to Rashmi and put on my sunglasses and walked out without turning back. She was definitely telling something, but I had already installed her special noise elimination, more like a filter in my ears.
I was not sure of what type of human I was becoming into that I prioritized information on me, over my colleague’s safety. Maybe that is why Sir Kongee was worried.
What was I becoming?
Awakening of a monster.

"Are you sure you will be alright?" Abhishek asked me and put a jacket on me; the one I have left in the car earlier before leaving to meet Meher.
"Yes Abhi. Did you find anything? Where are the people who were following me?" I queried, there must be a way I can find the spider who is webbing this menacingly dangerous bridge of death for me.
"We are recovering CCTV from the nearest one we could find but you know it will take much time for action." I knew that, and I appreciated him, his presence and just the strength he gives whenever I need to feel safe and secure. I couldn't ask for something more than that.
I didn't know what to do now. It's like I never know what to do at all. And, that was frustrating equals to not being able to sleep for hours.
"Ok. Abhi there is a bag at the lounge. Please take that and don't ask me questions about the contents." He nodded but added. "If it is something I can't ignore then I will have to ask questions. Our friendship doesn't utilize authority card."
That's liable but I wished we never had to come to the point, where choosing between professional and personal equations become a missing puzzle. "Did you have lunch?" He asked after a few seconds.
"Lunch . . no." I was supposed to have lunch with Kriag to discuss about the magazine shoot but that didn't look promising, now that the hour of midday food had already passed. I hope he isn't upset, well, maybe I should've informed him: though in my defence I didn't have a spare minute.
I opened my phone to drop Kriag a message. At least I should do something right, starting from this. However, my phone greeted me a completely different scenario.
Hey, Vhrea. Where are you? (1)
Are you stuck somewhere? I'm in a grey hoodie on the right table from the door. (2)
You are worrying me now :'( (3)
Is everything alright? (4)
I will wait for some more time. Let me know if you see the messages. Your number is not reachable. I hope you are fine. (5)
- Rekindling Kriag
He should've just left when I didn't come at the promised time.
Me:
Sorry about going mia.
Was stuck somewhere. Maybe we can do the revision on the shoot day itself.
I was looking forward to meet him today; his presence had a different calming effect al thought, at times it made me feel sexually on fire with his beguiled perfect body, those attractive charms up his sleeves and an enchanting smile: captivating flower.
Three dots appeared under his name after the quick blue ticks on my sent message to him, seen so quickly as if waiting for me to reply. I waited for his response but the dots disappeared and there was no message.
He must be busy, actors’ life is tough, especially when you are a national treasure also, I reasoned and looked at Abhishek who was watching me with a weird look.
"What?" I asked him. "You look quite calm for a person who is being stalked and almost being kidnapped." Only if he knew I was also being threatened.
"Life has been a bizarre to me. So, it's just natural I take things in the most Bazaar way."
I hoped that cleared his unrelated suspicion on my behaviour. Maybe, I was just stronger than he thinks I am.
My phone buzzed: Let's meet for dinner.
But I have a date with Julian to discuss about the paper company Meher had mentioned earlier. Not that I could go on and believe the words of a betrayer but seeing the circumstances and today’s events it feels like she is much of a role, at least for the first player against me, because sadly and with enormous unfortune I don't have another angle to look into her character for the round.
Me: Don't you have a shoot?
Kriag: I'm done for the day. How about sea food? I know a nice place nearby.
He was being too serious about the dinner. I thought he was just playing the complimentary part because we missed the lunch plan. And what's with sea food, these brothers had such a different taste that one loves sea food while the other swears by life for hate towards it.
Maybe I should decline but Sir Kongee's words haunted my head about sociopaths and I definitely didn't want to exhibit one of its traits.
Me: Okay. Send me the location. See you :)
Kriag: Come safely and let me know if you need anything.
Jules can wait for another time also. He would understand my preference for attempted oxytocin over twin telemetry.
