Cole's POV I didn’t waste time buttoning the rest of my shirt. I pulled the fabric over my shoulders and left it hanging open as I walked down the hall. My boots struck each tile with steady thuds. I wasn’t in the mood for patience, not with Landon here. The guard had said he arrived with a full convoy. Landon never traveled light, and he never traveled without a purpose.
