Esme’s POV I watched the guards drag Raven away, her screams cutting through the whole place like she believed the world owed her attention. She kicked and twisted but the guards didn’t loosen their grip. She swore at me, threatened me, shouted about how Nolan would “end me,” how the pack would “burn me,” how I would “regret being born.” None of it mattered anymore. Maybe this was wrong.
