Seizing your fate

Chapter 11 Hilda and Gina arrived late the following afternoon. Sienna ran into their arms, feeling for the first time since she became a Shaman, that she wasn't alone. Hilda stroked her hair softly. She felt as if she knew her so well, just from talking on video chat. "I am so glad you are here." They had barely put their bags down. "Take us to the Rougarou." They all walked silently to the old part of the house. Adrien was whimpering so softly; it was barely audible. It sounded more like wheezing. Gina came near the cage, inspecting its bars carefully. She wasn't sure what it was made of, but she could see the marks on Adrien's hands. They were like burns and they were not healing. Gina was an elderly woman, her hair all white. Her green eyes squinted in concentration. She bent down in front of him. The rain was still coming down outside. Hilda stood next to her. She was a little taller, and had a stern look on her face. Her hair was cut short and stylish, as were her cloths. She seemed younger than she was, due to her make up. Sienna stood next to them, barefoot. "He has been whimpering like that for a few days." Hilda came closer to the cage, looking closely at Adrien. "He isn't whispering. He is screaming." Sienna's eyes grew wider. "He is in a lot of pain," Gina whispered. "I have never seen anything like this." Suddenly Hilda pulled herself up. "Where is his wife? Sol?" Sienna hadn't seen her in days, she just knew Jacob was with her. "Damien, where is Sol?" Damien looked horrified, with the realization that Adrien was in such pain. "Um… she uh…" Damien shook himself. "She hasn't left Adrien's room. Jacob is with her there, helping her." The three women exited the room, towards the stairs. There was a lot of yelling from the office. Almost all the Alphas had arrived and were addiment to see the Rougarou. Until today, the Rougarou was barely even a legend. They were growing tired of legends and prophesies. They were strong Alphas, who have been accumulating power and wealth for centuries. They really didn't feel comfortable with all of this.  The three women crossed the screams, and ran up the stairs, Sienna leading them to Adrien's room. Sol was on his bed. Her delicate face was swollen from crying. Her eyes were red. She was laying on Jacob's chest. He got up as soon as they walked in. "The only way I was able to calm her down was hold her," he explained quickly. "She is demanding to see him." The two Shaman women stared closely at Sol as they sniffed the air. Something didn't feel right to them, but they didn't know what. Sienna was feeling lightheaded again and sat on the chair in the corner. She had been getting weaker by the day, but she assumed it was the stress and lack of sleep. Hilda watched the color drain from her face. "What is it dear?" Sienna breathed slowly, "I have been feeling weak, but I haven't really been sleeping." Both Shamans stared at each other. They had discussed this matter at length, especially after Clarissa told Hilda about Sienna passing out after Adrien's wedding. The two Shamans were also trying to piece together the puzzle. It was clear to the that it was Sienna and Adrien who were somehow tied to each other, but no more than that. Gina helped Sol get up to the bathroom. The door shut behind her and Jacob sat on the bed, his head between his hands. "Sienna, have you seen anything else after the mating ceremony?" Sienna told them about the last thing she saw last night. "So, if one mate dies, the other one dies too?" Sienna nodded. That's what the Shaman said. Gina spoke first, "So you are saying that Sol is dead either way?" Jacob's head shot up. He looked angry. "So, she marries him and now she is bound to him? Do you even hear how crazy that sounds?" He was yelling now, his body trembling with rage. "It's just a wedding. It doesn't mean anything. People get divorced all the time, no body dies!" He threw his hands up in the air. The screams from downstairs were getting louder. They had obviously left the office and were probably going to see Adrien. The bathroom door swung open. "I will die to save him," Sol whispered. Sienna tried to stand up but couldn't. "Sol, please… you don't have to die for him. Maybe this is the way it must be. Maybe our species must come to an end. We don't fit in this world; it is the human world." Sol was shocked. The Shaman was conceding defeat? She wasn't going to be this weak. How pathetic. Hilda was now helping Sienna stand up. "Sol please you have to calm down," Jacob was begging her. He looked so tired now. "You can't die tonight." Gina suddenly realized it was the last week of March. The last week of mating for wolves, who usually mated between January through March. Her ancestors watched the wolves, to understand themselves better, and this knowledge was always shared by the Shamans. A loud shriek pierced the heavy silence in the room. It was pained and sounded from far away. "Adrien's mother has seen him," Sol whispered as she darted out of the room, Jacob at her heals. "Sienna sit down, you are too tired. We will go…" Hilda began. "Please. I have to see him," Sienna pleaded. Gina and Hilda helped her up. Her body was exhausted, and it was getting harder for her to breath. They walked slowly to the cage room. Adrien's mother was on her knees besides the cage, crying wildly. Her son was dying before her very eyes. The Alphas were standing quietly, speechless. He was no risk to them; he would probably be dead soon any way. Sol's father looked relieved. Finally, his daughter could get on with her life. Adrien had some spell over her, and she had cried these past few days, more than anyone should cry in their entire lifetime. Adrien's father was quiet. They were just going to stand there and watch his only son die? His son who once was the strongest warrior and most fierce werewolf, had now succumbed to nothing. Almost a lifeless body wheezing softly, his chest barely moving. Sol was trying to get near the cage, but Jacob was holding her tight. Sienna was leaning on Hilda, but her legs couldn't keep her standing anymore and she had slid to the ground. "I am dead anyway!" Sol screamed. "I heard what Sienna said. At least let me save him. Please." "We don't really know anything," Jacob held her tight. "None of this makes sense," he screamed. The night had already come, and the rain was pouring heavily. The fire was roaring in the fireplace. Damien insisted the staff fix the chimney and start a fire. Adrien was shivering and this old part of the house didn't have electricity. No body ever came in here, so there was no point of putting it in. The fire was also the only thing giving light to the huge room. Gina and Hilda moved closer to each other whispering, as Sienna lay on the floor. She could feel her last breaths. Her life was leaving her body. She couldn't understand why. Sol was begging her father to let her open the cage. "I just want to save him. You will let him die alone in that cage?" Adrien's mother was bent over by the cage, sobbing into her hands. She just wanted to touch him, so he would know she was here. She didn't want him to die alone. Hilda was standing close to Damien. He was so caught up in what was happening, he hadn't noticed she had taken the key off the wall. She would sacrifice Sol to save the species. She would sacrifice one to save all the others. Gina agreed with her. Sienna was dying as well, and she was the first Shaman to be a Wendigo. They barely started understanding what that meant. It wouldn't really be killing Sol, if that's the fate that had been determined for her. Hilda walked slowly towards Sol, keeping her eyes on Adrien. He was so weak and in unimaginable pain. Sol was crying hysterically as her father was trying to reason with her. Hilda slipped the key into her hand, giving her a determined look.  Things happened fast after that. Sol ran to the cage and opened it, before anyone could stop her. She ran in, cradling Adrien's head in her lap, her tears washing down her face. The Alphas didn't move, they just watched. Adrien's mother ran into the cage, getting burned by the bars. Sienna tried to sit up and watch. Her wolf was howling outside. She had been howling for a while, but Sienna was so weak she didn't hear her. It wasn't a sad howl. She was trying to strengthen Sienna. Adrien's whimpers became moans. His body was twitching. Adrien's father stepped closer to the cage. Quickly his moans, became growls and he was trying to get to his feet. He was stumbling and falling, Sol was trying to grab his leg as he stumbled out of the cage. His growls were getting louder, and his canines began to lengthen. The horrible pain he had been feeling for days was stirring into rage and madness. His beast howled in his head, and he knew he had lost his mind. His muscles were sore and tight, but he felt himself straightening up. His beast was roaring. He felt like he was losing control over his body and his mind. His eyes were wild, like an animal trapped. Hilda was fascinated. She had never seen a Rougarou. She barely knew anything about them. They were so rare. Gina stood closer to Hilda, clutching her hand in anticipation. This may have been the best thing they had done, or the worst thing. Would they be responsible for someone dying tonight? Jacob ran past Adrien into the cage, to help Sol out. Adrien's eyes finally found Sienna on the ground. She could feel her breaths become easier, as Adrien's gaze focused on her. His eyes were still dark, but suddenly there was a glimmer of amber, as he kept sniffing the air catching her scent. It was making him think a little more clearly. The only thought in his head now was how much he needed Sienna. He wanted to be engulfed by her scent, in her arms. He was in so much pain, his body was exhausted. He wanted to lay in her arms, even if his mate was supposed to be Sol. He couldn’t even hear her crying behind him. Sienna was slowly coming to her feet, getting some of her strength back. "Look at how they are effecting each other," Gina whispered as Hilda was nodding. They were somehow intertwined. Sienna took a few steps back, to lean against the wall, feeling very lightheaded. She smoothed out her dress, feeling her hands trembling. She wasn’t even sure if it was real. Adrien roared and leaped towards her. He pinned her against the wall, crashing her back on the hard stone. She leaned forward so to not hit her head. He was wild, beyond and kind of control or restraint. Sienna's mind was racing. He was going to mate her and mark her. She was the sacrifice.  She knew she was dying already, at least this way her death would be meaningful. She could save a race of werewolves; she didn't even know existed a few months ago. And she would die in Adrien's arms. He lifted her dress and ripped her panties, Except for Hilda and Gina, nobody understood what was happening. Even if they did, they couldn’t move, their eyes fixed on them. He drove into her wildly. He was finally inside her, where he needed to be. Like waves crashing into the sand, he was driving himself into her. All she could feel was warmth and pleasure, when she should be feeling fear and terror. She knew what would be coming next. He would bite her to death.  They all stood mesmerized, watching what was happening. They felt as if they were watching something spiritual even divine, and not erotic. Adrien was cupping her breasts, driving in harder and harder. Sienna felt him harden more inside her, as he lifted her leg higher, opening her wider for him. His strength was coming back, the deeper he was inside her. His mind was clearing, and his beast was roaring in pleasure. His canines elongated even more. All he wanted to do was bite her. He was consumed by her scent and her calming warmth, why does he want to bite her? She was whispering his name, "Adrien." Her voice was like a soft blanket, covering him in its warmth. It was too much to take. He felt the perfection of the moment was too much. Sienna arched her back towards his chest. He could feel her hardened n*****s. He held her other leg over his waist, as his pelvis moved deeper into her. She moved her head to the side. Her neck exposed. There was nothing and no one left in the world, just both of them, in that moment. He could feel everything, smell everything. It was like their own private world, their secret haven. Sienna felt he was close to the edge. She had never felt such erotic passion. She noticed his canines grow longer and she knew it was the moment of her death. She was willing to die for him to become a savior, even after everything he had done to her. It was her fate to save his life and his calling. She moved her head, exposing the area she knew he would mark her. She felt her core explode in strong orgasms, as Adrien bit into her. The pain made her scream his name, as his fangs dug deeper into her shoulder, blood pouring down her chest. It was as a ball of light exploded, swallowing them in its bright light. Someone screamed behind them, in the shadows created by the fire. Adrien came deep inside her, his seed squirting into her, again and again. Her wet walls convulsing against his throbbing c**k, milking him completely. He came with such force; his body was trembling uncontrollably. He couldn’t stand and fell to his knees, Sienna falling after him. She collapsed into his lap. He wanted to heal her wound, so he licked her mark closed. He fell back, his head bouncing on the floor. He felt like he was dying now. The torture of the last few weeks was killing him. Death could only bring him sweet release. He felt his eyes close and let the darkness wash over him.  The room was still and silent. All that could be heard was the rain banging on the windows. Damien, who was closest ran to them first and Jacob followed. The room suddenly began to buzz like a beehive. They both had a pulse, Sienna’s was weaker. Damien brought a blanket and covered Adrien. Some of the Alphas helped them carry Adrien to his bed. Sienna was easy to lift. Hilda and Gina insisted they stay together. Sol was running behind them. She saw what every body else did, but it was spiritual and intense. She felt like she was witnessing an awakening. As the ball of fire exploded around them, she screamed. She thought she lost her husband. Now they were both laying in the bed she lost her virginity on. Hilda and Gina asked to stay in the room alone with them and closed the door. Adrien was burning with a fever, and Sienna was cold to the touch. They were confused. This was supposed to save both of them. Gina suddenly remembered the wolves, who slept together, before they mated. She stripped Sienna naked and moved Sienna on top of Adrien’s chest. Adrien moved, closer to Sienna, intertwining their legs. He was holding her tight, nuzzling her neck. They could see him deeply inhale her scent, as his breathing slowly became shallower and calmer. His fever was breaking, and Sienna was becoming warmer. Hilda and Gina sat slowly watching them. “That’s amazing,” Gina whispered. “It’s definitely the most amazing thing I have ever seen,” Hilda agreed. They watched them sleep calmly through the night, trying to make sense of what they had witnessed. As the first rays of sun came in through the open window, Adrien opened his eyes. His body hurt but was also tingling all over. He recognized her scent right away. It was so strong. He turned and saw Sienna in his arms. He lay, scared to move and wake her up. The memories were slowly flooding back to him. All that happened in the last few weeks. All that he had done. What he had become. He was so ashamed of everything that had happened. He destroyed so many lives in such a short time. How could he ever fix everything that he had done? He saw Hilda and Gina sitting at the far end of his room, snoring quietly as they slept. He noticed Sienna was naked, holding on tightly to his body. He had physically hurt her. He lied and betrayed her. He rejected her by marrying someone else. She should never forgive him. None of them should. He made bad choices, that caused him so much pain, and his loved ones. He doesn’t deserve to be their Alpha. Sienna moved in his arms, and her eyes opened slowly. She was holding on to him so tightly, her arms were aching. Adrien was facing her, his eyes glowing with an amber flame. He was as beautiful as she had ever seen him. He felt strong again, against her body. She felt so warm and safe in his enormous arms. She turned to him and hugged his neck tightly. Adrien was confused. She should hate him, not hug him. He wrapped his arms around her. “Adrien, you don’t have to apologize to me,” she whispered in his ear. He let his forehead lean against hers. Those words soothed all his pain. “You thought you were doing the right thing.” He looked deep into her blue eyes. “I will never let you go again Sienna,” his gaze was intense. She just stared deeply into his eyes. The rays of the sun caressing his face, lighting the amber flames in his eyes. “It was always you Sienna, always. There could have never been anyone else.” He kissed her gently, and she moaned into his mouth.  She felt like she was finally where she belonged. Adrien couldn’t stop kissing her, tasting again every inch of her. He needed her so much, and he almost killed her by walking away from her. It would have definitely killed him to walk away from her. They couldn’t stop kissing each other, their tongues intwined. Their skin tingled with every touch. His hands were in her hair, drawing her closer to him deepening their kisses. Sienna couldn’t stop holding his neck tightly, as tears rolled from her eyes. He could taste the salty taste in their kiss. They never heard the door close, as Hilda and Gina left the room. He was already on top of her caging her between his arms. She was the purest and most beautiful thing he had ever known. He didn’t deserve such perfection. He was already inside her, deeply. He was moving slowly, and she was moving with him. She felt so perfectly complete with him inside of her. They were in a daze, their scents mixing together with the scent of their arousal. They couldn’t think at all, just inhale each other and feel their skin tingle with each touch. Sienna could feel her teeth shift. She didn’t have a wolf in her, but she could feel her canines grow. She could feel pressure in her mouth. She lifted her head to his neck. He was so deep inside her, pulsing strongly. She let herself bite him. He gasped in surprise, as she deepened her bite. “Sienna, baby…” he whispered as blood ran down his neck. He exploded inside her with a force that shook her. She could feel him squirt his seed in her, as the throbbing of his cumming c**k, pushed her over the edge. She arched her back and let herself feel every toe curling, tingle. She licked his bite, as he collapsed on her. She didn’t want him to pull out yet, and she could feel him throbbing still inside her. She licked her lips, tasting his blood. There was so much to figure out, but he was her mate, and she was his. This was a spiritual force, a divine power, not something to be ignored or taken for granted.  Hilda and Gina waited outside the room. They woke up from the sounds of their moaning. Adrien and Sienna seemed to be in their own private world, safely engulfed by the sunlight coming through the window. It was pure and divine. They walked out silently. Sol was sitting outside the room, waiting for an answer. Why did they leave the room. Jacob was sitting next to her. This whole time he hadn’t left her. He felt oddly protective of her. “They need a minute,” Gina smiled softly. Sol didn’t understand. She wanted to see her husband. He was with another woman in their bed. He almost died. Sol stood up trying to get to the door, but Jacob held her hand. He didn’t want her heart to break, even if she didn’t mind throwing herself into the fire and burning alive. They waited until they couldn’t hear any more sounds inside. Gina pushed the door open a crack. “It’s okay. They are both asleep.”  They slept for so long, nestled in each other’s arms, inhaling each other’s scent. Adrien seemed larger than before, and Sienna’s skin seemed to glow a bit, in the moon light creeping through the open window. Hilda sat beside the bed, writing down. She had to chronicle everything that was happening. The rain had stopped, and the air smelled crisp. The forest smell was so strong, as if the rain had purified it. The smells were so strong and intoxicating. The Alphas didn’t want to leave. They felt the strong shift, and understood they were witnessing an incredible miracle. The following night, they sat in the garden, inhaling in the smell of the forest. It was stronger at night. Damien and Jacob were outside as well, joined by Clarissa. There was a sense of calm around the reservation. Sol sat next to her mother; her head lay on her shoulder. She watched the moon rise. Suddenly they all began to stiffen. A commanding power seemed to overcome them. It was so strong; they all kept their gaze down. “Alphas,” the resounding, deep voice sounded. “I am glad you were all here to witness the first mating and marking ceremony in centuries.” Adrien stood at the bottom of the garden. He seemed bigger than ever. His dominance was terrifying. He was a Rougarou Alpha, and they all suddenly felt safe in his presence. Sienna was standing next to him. Their marks twinkling in the moonlight.
