In the rain

Those eyes. Those Deep hazel almost black eyes... I could have stared into them forever they were beautiful; HE was beautiful. But he gave me this strange feeling in the pit of my stomach. I could have screamed with relief when the bus pulled up and I couldn't have got on faster. I watched him as the bus drove off, I wanted to get one last glimpse of him and not I could see just how tall, built and stunning he was with short but rough brown hair and a jawline that I swear was chiseled by the gods. By the time id managed to pull him from my thoughts we were back in the main town, the town was nice but questionable like wherever I went I felt like people were watching me I was zoned out and had walked out onto a crossing without looking i tore away from my most likely overactive imagination to the sound of hard braking and a car horn. I froze, this was it, these were my last few seconds on earth. Oh, what a world, what a cruel world... after closing my eyes and standing there for a few more seconds I realized I was perfectly fine and not dead lol. But I was stood in the path of a rather pissed off young lady. Id says she was around my age, pretty, slender with dainty features. The livid look on her face soon made me wish she did actually hit me because it felt like at any moment she would get back in the car and send me flying... "ARE YOU BLIND?! HOW CAN YOU JUST WALK RIGHT OUT INTO THE ROAD AND NOT EVEN LOOK BOTH WAYS!!? ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED OR TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?" I didn't know what to say it was completely my fault I was too caught up in myself I wasn't paying attention. "I'm so sorry..." pathetic, but it was all I could manage. She just stood looking at me for a few seconds before her anger turned into concern "Are you new around here? I know EVERYONE in this town and could swear on the alphas luna that you aren't Forks native or even live in this town.." "Yes, I-I just arrived this morning" "Where are you staying? the motel up the road has been closed for months I'm not sure when they're gonna be re-opening it but there's really nowhere else to stay" "Oh really?... I guess I didn't really plan that far ahead" "Well I live out on the Quileute Reservation its about 20 minutes out of town, you're more than welcome to stay at my house with me and my family for a few days?" This was strange, what sort of person just invites a stray girl that almost caused them to have an accident to stay with them?. "I couldn't possibly impose on you and your family like that it wouldn't be fair and its a little strange and I-I-I'm...." Then BAM, Thunder erupted from the sky and the heavens opened and a torrential downpour of rain started. The girl still stood in front of me grabbed my arm and almost carried me to the car like a baby. "I can't possibly leave you out in this, what sort of person would I be. But don't worry I'm not some creepy murderer I promise. My family won't mind we've got more than enough rooms in our house for you to stay... Say, I didn't get your name? I also didn't tell you mine did I? I'm Aquene it means peace" I admitted defeat, where else was I going to stay at such short notice? and she seemed really nice and actually really down to earth. "Okay, but I'll only stay for tonight! I don't want to be too much of a bother. I'm Charlotte. I'm not too sure what it means though..." "Petit" "Excuse me?'" "That's what Charlotte means. Petit" And with that new revelation, we pulled into her driveway. now Aquene really wasn't joking when she said that they had plenty of room. The house is absolutely HUGE. The house was stunning, even in the rain. The house had a Balcony on the second floor that was held up by amazingly intricately calved totems at the bottom that also formed the door of the house that was made out of the most beautiful light wood. I was in awe of the house when someone came running out to the car, the face of the person was covered by a hood but you could tell it was a guy from his size and voice as he spoke "Do you need any help with the groceries?" "Yeah, they're in the trunk thanks, bro. Is mom home yet?" "No, she's with the chief she'll be back in the morning" There it was again. that feeling in the pit of my stomach... I couldn't tell if it was good or bad, it was a really confusing feeling. But with that, he grabbed the bags and was back inside in a blink. I've never seen somebody move that fast in my life. As I entered the house I was hit with a wall of hot air, the house was so cozy and inviting that I instantly felt at home. as I followed Aquene into the kitchen I saw him. The same guy from the bus stop, the one who id already spent half of my day thinking about. and he was stood right in front of me. "Ethan, I found a stray tonight" Aquene then giggled and pointed back at me and then our eyes connected. And for the second time, I'd never felt so warm and at home.
