Catherine Montemayor   I was in a hurry to get myself ready because I'm going to be late for the first day of the school year. I didn't hear my alarm so that's why I woke up late. While I'm busy with fixing my hair, someone suddenly knocked on my bedroom door. I was about to approach it but I was shocked to hear a shout from the there.    "Cath, you're going to be late, hurry up. Pitong is waiting for you." Nana Eva reminding me. Nana Eva is like a mother to me, she was the one who always with me while growing up.    My parents are always out of the country. They were always busy because of their business but even though they always far away from me, it never made me mad at them. I always try to understand them because I know their busy for my future.    "Okay! Nana. I'll be downstairs in a minute." I said while combing my hair.    I didn't even put on any makeup although I only used lip gloss and face powder. Maybe I'll try to put some while on the way to school.    I rushed out of the room and go down to the dining area. I immediately saw Nana Eva busy putting breakfast on the table.    "Oh! Cath. Sit down and start to eat your breakfast." she said while pulling a chair for me.    But I shook my head. "Thank you, nana, but I'm not going to eat. I'm about to get late." I explained to her.    She looked at me in a disapproving way. "It's not good to go without eating anything Hija! It's not good for your health. Come here, just sit down and eat your breakfast." she's so persistent.    I forcefully smiled at her. "I can't, I'm sorry nana, I'm really going to get late. It's the first day of my senior year. I don't want to be late and I need to check my class section together with Gio. We already talked about it last week."  I said convincing nana Eva.    She sighed in defeat. "What am I going to do with you? You're really are hard-headed. You didn't listen to me anymore. I will prepare you a sandwich and eat it while on your way to school."    "Okay! Thank you, Nana." I said thanking her.   After nana Eva gave me the sandwich I went out of the house and get inside the car.   Mr. Pitong start immediately the car engine.    While on the road I start eating the sandwich that Nana Eva prepared for me. Thank goodness for this because I'm quite famished the moment I get in the car.    I finish immediately my food and fortunately, I didn't get trouble swallowing it. I also start putting face powder on my face and a lip gloss on my lips. I want to have a refreshing look at the moment I will arrive at school.     After fixing myself I put back my things inside my bag and look at the window.    "I hope I will see him again .." I whispered to myself.     Mr. Pitong chuckled. I'm nervous, maybe he heard me a while ago.    I looked at him and he was also looking at me through the rear mirror, he was smiling at me. "It looks like your excited today cath. Maybe because of your crush, you're going to see him again." He said teasing me and laugh after.    All of the people in the mansion, except my parents, know that I have a huge crush on someone. I know its normal to have a crush on my age but the people working under my parents making it a big deal.    I just smiled at him and look back at the window.    Mr. Pitong is right. I'm really excited about this day. I was waiting for the first day of class because finally, she going to see him again. The boy who made her experience how to love someone, the boy she loving secretly.    It's almost two and a half months since the last time I saw him, Nick. Nick was in the U.S.A in the whole summer. I knew all of it because his mom told me. Nick's parents are my godparents, family friends. And also, both of our parents our business partners.    Dominick Jace Imperial or you can call him Nick, the boy I'm secretly loving in years.  I can recall that I was only eight years old when I realize that I'm having a crush on him. I crush that grew into love after long years.   Nick is very gentle and kind to me. He never showed any ill-mannered to me, maybe because I was close to his family or he treats me like a sister.     Nick is a snob to others except for his friends. You can't also deny the good looks that he has. His cold to others especially in girls but his somehow warm towards me, and I think because his mom will be mad at him and probably because we grew up together.     She heavily sighs in relief thinking that she's finally going to him again. She's hoping that they can be classmates this school year.    "Lord, please grant this selfish wish, I really want to enjoy my senior year. I want to watch him every time and every day. I 'm contented by that. I hope I can have a happy senior year. To be able to watch him from afar is good enough for me."   After a minute I arrived at school. I checked the time and see that I made it on time. I still have fifteen minutes to check where the class section I belong to.  I walked towards the building 4 where Senior student designated to.    While on my way, I saw the bench where Nick and his friends usually hang out but, unfortunately, he was not there.    I suddenly feel sad I thought... I thought.    "Don't let your hopes to high cath. You're going to see him today. Just believe in your luck today." I whispered to myself to motivates me.   I stopped in the information desk at the building to text Gio, my best friend. We agreed that we're going to check our class section together. We're hoping that we're in the same section again. Since freshman year we're in the same class and I'm thankful because of that.    Gio is a Bonafede gay and he doesn't mind whatever others will say about him. Since elementary, he openly told me his gender preferences. He's so true to himself. We've been best friends since elementary. He appreciates man's and woman's beauty. And he's like a sister and a friend rolled into one for me.   "Cathie, I miss you." Gio happily said while walking closer to me. As soon as he reaches me, he hugged me tightly. "Guess what."    "What?" I asked him.    "We're classmates again." he happily informed me.    Thank God!    "Wow! Really?!"   He nodded.    I sighed in relief. "At least I don't need to check my section because you already checked it for me. When I thought, we agreed that we're going to check it together." I said teasing him.    Gio gasped. "You're so mean! I'm sorry if go without you. I thought you're going to be late. And I'm just being a good friend here thinking of helping you..." He sounded faking hurting while talking to me. "Maybe I don't need to give you the souvenirs I bought for you from Singapore." He sounded like he's threatening me.   I smiled to him quickly. "Where is it? Give it to me."    "Oh, my ghad girl! You concede immediately when you heard the souvenir." He looked at me like he can't believe what was happening.    I shook my head and pouted.  "Of course not! I was just teasing you because I miss you and feel lonely when you were gone that's why I'm going to get mad if you didn't give me anything from your trip." I teasingly said to him.   He rolled his eyes at me and pulled me inside our classroom.    I looked around and saw that almost one-third of my new classmates were old classmates of mine last year.    I felt sad a little, my close friends are not here.    But my sadness disappears when I saw someone that I missing so much. Nick...  He was sitting at the chair near the window.    He was staring at me for a moment before he tilted his head and mouthed "hi!" to me.    I smiled and waved at him. I can feel the fast beating of my heart when he flashes his devilish smile at me.    I feel giddy inside, in just one smile from him.    I know this will be a great senior year for me. Thank God for this wonderful blessing.
