Jack looked at me as if he had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world.
"Divorce? Emily, have you lost your mind? Every time something happens, you start throwing a tantrum. Now you're even using divorce to threaten me?"
Chloe chimed in from the side. "Emily, don't say things like that in anger. Jack is really worried about the baby too. We just… just went somewhere else to wait for news. The environment there was too depressing."
I looked at her hypocritically innocent face, then at Jack's completely convinced expression, and felt a wave of nausea rise in my stomach.
