“I know you’re here,” Riggs called from the other side of the door. He hadn’t come through it yet, but every cell in Tessa’s body said he would soon if she didn’t answer him. Thinking fast, she swept the photos she’d painstakingly laid out on the table into a pile and tapped them together. Another demanding pounding of his fist against the door. “Tessa!” he yelled. “I can see the car in the garage, and there are lights on.” “Just a minute,” she called. “I just got out of the shower.” She dashed over to the countertop where she’d been making coffee and yanked open the drawer.
