CHAPTER 60Josyff opened his eyes cautiously, uncertain where he might find himself. But all was normal. The clock clucked by way of greeting and snow brightness lit his room. Further, he felt well and refreshed. No dreams had disturbed him, still less any mysterious translations into the world — or worlds — of the First Comers. And even as the insanity of the previous night’s events returned to him, they brought no great sense of shock or dismay. He had seen what he had seen and done what he had done, now it was a matter of seeing how events had played themselves out.
