CHAPTER 65Josyff had felt increasingly like a passenger in his own body since he had seen the light of the Beacon curving through the falling snow. Something had been set in motion and its momentum was beyond his control. He sensed a slender shifting thread of action and reaction dwindling back to his laboured arrival at the Keep, perhaps even beyond that, like a soft breeze that disturbs the dust and pebbles as precursor to a great avalanche.
