CHAPTER 54Unbalanced, Josyff stumbled into the room. Where before the sound of the Diirredyn had been distant, it now washed over him like an appalling flood. The din was deafening, but he had little time to consider it, for he found himself careening forward into a broiling darkness. He was running downhill! Even as his mind registered the fact, his arms were flailing and his heels were digging into the floor in an attempt to stop this desperate flight. It had some effect but still he was travelling at a terrifying speed. And the texture of the floor had changed. No longer was it the carpeted boarding or stone of the Keep’s bedrooms, it was... Grass? His foot slipped and he tumbled over backwards. A fairly heavy fall winded him a little and he noted, incongruously, that is was grass
