Friday snuck up on me faster than I expected.
I was in my room, finishing up my hair, when Anna appeared at the door.
"A delivery just came for you, Miss Walker. I think you’ll like it."
I turned toward her. She was holding a huge bouquet of calla lilies.
"They’re gorgeous," I said, walking over to take them from her hands.
A card was tucked inside. I opened the envelope.
I know you’ll do wonderfully.
I’ll be cheering for you in the front row.

I smiled, slid the card back into the envelope, and left it on my bedside table.
"Can you grab me a vase for these, Anna? I want to get them in water."
She nodded, and I followed her to the kitchen. Once the vase was ready, I placed the flowers in my room. Even with Asher’s recent mood upswing, I didn’t want to mess with Linda
