My feet carried me to the packhouse garden with long strides. Worried I couldn’t enter the packhouse again, I hid out in the surrounding forest until night fell. Thankfully, Alpha Xander didn’t send his warriors to locate me. Though I had to admit that it was odd that he didn’t. Based on the look on his face when he saw Kai emerge and run towards Dawn, he was not happy.
